Big boys seem still prowling around collecting by both buying and selling, net buying of course. Last three sessions they sold off about 13m shares to bring the price down to 2.06. Now they are collecting. The price unlikely to rise until they have at least recoup their 13m shares sell off.

Overall an excellent above expectation result. After-tax profit margin for the year is 27% - one of the highest in KLSE and confirms the efficiency and savvy of KSL's management!

Careful, KLSE nose-diving as Brent just dipped below USD60/barrel. Bonus issue don't add value.

My assessment: The market has ignored KSL's bonus and divvy. KSL's today's rebounding tends to be between 5 and 6 sens so not good for retail day trading. Any KLCI's rebound tomorrow is likely to be a dead cat bounce if crude and ringgit and other factors don't improve. Conclusion: KSL still not yet bottomed? If any, please give a different assessment anyone?

jacklintan, with the drop in ringgit and crude, foreigners are not too keen on Malaysian properties. The thing now going for KSL is it's high recurring income. It's housing development division is being discounted by the market. So OK to keep some for medium term, but not too much as price rise is limited. Still divvy ex-date (not yet announced) to come.

jacklintan, its a mind game. But KSL is a very high beta stock. The overall market sentiment is very bearish at the moment. So are overseas markets. Poor crude prices have weakened Malaysia's own fundamentals as indicated by the weakening ringgit. So trade KSL. I should have maintained trading mode instead of holding for bonus & divvy (they have not announce ex-date for divvy).

KSL is among the top losers today. It shouldn't. I wonder why? Likely price manipulation to collect cheap!

That's right SS661M. Gains earlier, loss later. I was enjoying the Himalayas when KSL's first crash in October. Now have to give back the gains! Nevermind, I am a trader but held KSL for the bonus. Did not expect a fundamentally good stock to crash like today.

ks55, currency controls will fix it. Make the currency non trade-able and peg the rate against the USD. That's what Malaysia did in 1997/98. Because of possible currency attacks link to speculators and resulting trade disruption, China has never allowed its currency to be freely traded, nor its stock market fully opened (now opened only via Hong Kong where controls on speculation are in place). Tun Dr. Ma was damned at first, but now the IMF acknowledges his actions were correct and that its austerity measures (applied to Indonesia) were wrong! Sooner or later, Russia likely to follow suit!

bobbywee, just ignore the trolls and don't feed them. But we should trade shares with our brains not with our guts as in blind bravery. But do not ignore our gut feel and do not ignore market trends. KLSE is at present going down although KSL is holding well. Be flexible with our trading.

Correction: KSL committed to paying 30% of net profit as dividends. Also has policy for shareholders to get KSL shares in lieu of divvy.

Unlike SKPetro, KSL have strong fundamentals little affected by the crash in crude prices. It has cheap land, strong recurring income and have a strategy for expansion not heavily based on debts! The lower its price the more attractive its's fundamentals. It's a stock which one can love and hold for the non-traders! Also it's management have shown that it cares for the minority shareholders. As for SKPetro, it's on the ropes because it's fundamentals (never really strong because of its huge USD debts and obsolete technology) have crashed with the crude prices.

Those who have cash, get ready! Read your charts!

KSL dragged down with Overall market. I am on trading mode now. KSL is NOT falling knife but on wealth transfer mode! The key is the ringgit. A lot of Singaporeans and Indonesians in play. They will sell.
