Please apply FutureEyes article 'Hard Datas' calculations to HRC 1st QR report.........
For your info....Brent crude prices (from Bloomberg) as at
30/12/2016 USD 56.82
31/3/2017 USD 52.83
30/6/2017 USD 47.92
1st QR Brent crude price decreased USD 3.99 bpd
2nd QR Brent crude price decreased USD 4.91 bpd
HRC 1st QR EPS 93 sen.
HRC 2nd QR EPS ????? ( Only HRC finance guys will know the important key price
datas to input for profit estimation)
To predict HRC EPS at 19 sen is way off the mark. And from FutureEyes analysis, he is a smart guy. Why throw so much red herring to unsuspecting amateur investors like us.........
I will quote following forummer's comment .......
Jupiterang> If i'm a shark with insider news, here's how I will run the monkey show...
Before a Good News out, I create a panic sell to collect. When Good News out, Market will panic buy at high. I sell sell sell...
Before a Bad News out, I create a panic buy to sell. When Bad News out..kaboom! It's none of my business as I have already sold all my holdings...
All still remember how atta, lbalum, comcorp, Prelexus rose up by panic buying and crashed after Bad News out..
Do not chase high..

Above article datas are biased.....................
HRC main product is gasoline, why use jet fuel kerosene futures to substantiate your figures..............
Why use 26th June Brent crude prices when 30th June is the month end and is on Friday, a trading day. The pricing differential is already nearly USD 3 per barrel for that few days of trading.
Got to go back to work, will work out the details later.....but for sincere investors, please double check the data and don't follow blindly.

In all investment decisions, profitability and payback period are important considerations........How much does it cost to build a 150,000 bpd complex refinery in Malaysia? Petronm have to incur RM6.2b just to add 60,000bpd refinery capacity. So for HRC capacity, we can safely estimate to cost RM15billion.
Assuming HRC net profit is RM1.2 billion for 2017, which works out to EPS of RM4. How long does it take to payback the investors of a new refinery? We are very happy with the current profits that were being generated, but for refinery investors, unless national strategic considerations are factored in, current profits alone at such crack margin spread may not be enough to push them to build new refineries.
Current crack spread may be the new norm moving forward.............

Wow...smarttrader2020 gave 4 examples of refinery with average PE of 6.58 and says Hengyuan have no more upside,..............
So if we assume HRC 2017 EPS at RM2 ( 1st QR already 93sen) , RM2 x 6.58 is RM 13.16
No more upside meh!!!!!

Amidst all the euphoria and kind words to OTB and KYY for initiating the strong uptrend, I would like to thank below sifus for their selfless sharing. It is from their sharing that I have decided to put in balance available funds 'ie almost Sailang' into Hengyuan even before OTB put up his important recommendation :
1) Probability ( Most knowledgeable sifu in HRC)
2) Stockraider ( Very pragmatic knowledgeable )
3) Icon888
4) Paperplane
5) mincai & Yes666 ( for your tips)
Thank you very much!!!!

'Dump' is an exaggeration......they are selling some production from excess capacity. However, the refinery crack spread margin still improving, showing demand increasing more than supply.

Mdm Choo......what news your husband heard of to take such a gamble? Can share? Insas is deeply undervalued, can invest. But we have little control in its price direction. If you enter at wrong timing, could be a trap as this stock seldom priced at fair value. Don't think of exiting when it reaches fair value, you are likely to be trapped by then.

Well done babypos85, I bought too early at Rm1.08. Anyway, Parkson loss is expected, why the big hoohah? All focus is on Parkson loss, resulting in such a steep correction. Looks like we ikan bilis are being played.
The correct question to ask is how much more is the steel division earning? Is it more than Parkson incremental loss? I expect the this WE to be better as the steel division is running at full swing.

Of course there will be some people who would like to take profit when results announced. But is it logical to exit the market with price coming down on the back of such good results. Even for large shareholders, one will allow price to rise on back of positive market sentiment and exit gradually to maximise profit. But today, we saw price crashing down. It is abnormal. Someone is pushing the price down to shake off weak holders. Just my take of the situation. Since I can't fight it, might as well take advantage of it.

The diluted EPS of 11.84sen is arrived based on the assumption that all RCPS are converted to mother shares. Since it is just an assumption, 14.77 sen is still the actual EPS.
By the way, the award of 17million shares to directors and staff will have a 3.1% dilution effect to the value of Ann Joo.

Agree with ks5s....It is not often to have the opportunity to invest in turnaround stories. Especially if it is industrial wide and with a high certainty of fruition. My internal value for ssteel is RM3, base on an annualised EPS of 30sen at PE10. However, this personal value will change with market conditions and as we progress along with each quarterly earnings report. These steel plays are to me a defensive group of shares in the event of an unforeseen market crash and, its share price will be well supported by profits and dividends, unlike most stocks being touted currently in the market with flimsy M&A deals, contracts or whatsoever. Cheers

The conversion price from Annjoo-PA to mother share is RM1.80 , however, RM0.50 was paid upon issuance of the Annjoo-PA, so balance need to top up is RM1.30. Annjoo-PA holders also enjoy 5% interest payment on the RM0.50 par value, which works out to be 2.5 sen per year per PA, payable twice yearly. So I am expecting to receive my first interest income of 1.25sen per PA within the next couple of months. Cheers

Alex Foo......before property counter uptrend starts, market should undergo major correction already. Better focus back to your Hengyuan and steel counters. At least enjoy a major price uptrend before and after Q3 results announcement.
