Market pricing anomaly. Ann Joo PA already in the money but low transaction volume. Ann Joo CC is out of money, but there are still buyers. Please note that the Ann Joo-CC conversion ratio is 3.5:1 , ie you need 3.5 Ann Joo-CC warrants plus RM 2.80 to exchange for one mother share.

With safeguard duties for 3 years, supernormal profits for Ann Joo.

sslim, there is no mention of the exercise price for the warrant. And 10 shares for 1 ICULS at RM1 for ICULS, works out to be RM0.10 per share if you subscribe to ICULS.

No wonder yesterday up so much, putting my accumulation plan into disarray. Thanks OOMMGG

At RM355 million for 49% stake, they are valuing the insurance business at RM 724 million. Which works out to RM 1.01 per MPHB share.
At PBV of 2.45 , the book value of the insurance business is RM0.4145 per MPHB share.

Don't expect 2nd qtr report to show much improvement.
Only from 3rd qtr should it start to show improvement, with 2015 seeing significant improvements. Anyway, this is only my personal opinion, which resulted in Mulpha occupying the top shareholding in my portfolio(~40%).
Yesterday's spike was a surprise, if no major announcement then it may be in play by syndicates, which is good news. No need to wait 3~5 years to take profit.

The way the price move up during last half hour is abnormal.
Any news?
2014-08-08 16:01 | Report Abuse
Still queuing at RM 0.485.
Today's market reminds me when MH17 was shot down over Ukraine. The stock market came down and gave me the opportunity to load up Mulpha at RM0.475.

Assuming all warrants are subscribed, what will be the new intrinsic value of Insas?
(RM2 x 5 shares)+ (RM1 x 2 warrants)
RM12 divide by 7 shares = RM 1.714/share based on the increased float.
So the intrinsic value of my Insas shares has just decreased substantially due to this exercise.
Some may still consider it cheap, so will stick with it. But for some of us will shift the funds to cheaper alternative shares.
2014-07-30 09:28 | Report Abuse
Secondly, why did I invest in Insas in the first place? Because I believe Insas is undervalued.
Assuming my valuation of Insas to be RM2 per share, will the RPS and warrant exercise increase the intrinsic value of my current shareholding?
2014-07-30 09:25 | Report Abuse
Firstly, how do you calculate the pricing of RPS? I will use present value calculation, just like bond pricing mechanism.
If RPS investors are expecting 8% yield, the RPS value at launch date should be ~ 84sen. If they are expecsting 10% yield, is should be ~77 sen.

Thank you guys..... I have just liquidated all my position.
I am posting below comment and calculations not for gloating, but to allow fellow share amateurs like us to be aware of some alternative views. I have benefited from this forum, from people like Gweilo recommendations, and so it is time for me to share since most professionals have not done so in Insas forum.
2014-07-30 08:13 | Report Abuse
Wow.......from the comments for the past few days, it looks like listed companies can learn from Insas to issue RPS and warrants to push up their share prices.
What a joke!!!!!
No wonder we amateur investors are like feeding fodder to the professionals with the investment houses, fund management industry etc.
2014-07-29 20:06 | Report Abuse
I sure hope price will limit up tomorrow!!!!
But my sincere advice is not to chase the price tomorrow.
By the way, Insas extremely unlikely to redeem the RPS before due date. Reason, only need to pay 4% for funding and not to worry about being recalled by banks etc etc.
If it is that great don't have to offer two warrants to sweeten the deal lah......oops! it shouldn't be sweeten, but to force you to subscribe to the RPS lah!

That's why MPHB is trying to get rid of its insurance company.
Once it is not a full fledge insurance company, it will not come under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Finance.

If I have dispose of so early, I would be smiling from ear to ear lah,
because the funds would have been used to accumulate Mulpha.
Anyway, all such PRS or bonus issues are just financial engineering. Does it add value to us minority shareholders?
Will give my personal views next Thursday, if you are still interested.

Stkoay you made your point.... that's why we got to admire Calvin's guts or foolishness in posting all his recommendations and personal particulars on his website.
To err is human and it is unlikely that he will be right more than 70% of the time.
So dear investors make your own investing decisions after due evaluation.
Calvin is not a financial analyst, do take all his calculations with a pinch of salt. Final investing decision still lies with ourselves.
PS : I didn't buy MP Corp even though Calvin is bullish on it, but I load up on Mulpha, and will continue to add to it if their quarterly reports show increasing profitability.

Including infrastructure cost and land conversion premium, they estimate Sunway cost per square foot only at RM 18 per square foot.

Thanks for the info Mulpha forummers, especially Calvin. Have been observing and doing some minor research on this stock myself for the past three days.
Conclusion : Downside limited to 20% max, but upside is a few hundred percent gain.
Financial report should start to look better from third quarter onwards.
I am now officially joining the Mulpha International bandwagon.

Oh yes, by the way, wilson11 account was created with the sole purpose to ask investors to sell Malton. Please view all its(this is not a human) postings and conclude yourself.
2014-04-28 07:56 | Report Abuse
This wilson11 has been shouting for all of us to sell since March 25th when Malton was below 90sen. Everytime he shouts for people to sell with no logical reasoning to support his call, this Malton has been going up in prices.
Conclusion, this Wilson11 is either a selfish A__hole or a mole planted by sharks to assist them in accumulating more shares before the big push.

Funtrade, show some respect to seniors like Fortunebullz who are willing to voice out their opinions and analysis. If you disagree, don't follow lah. They are risking their reputation by posting here and trust me, no one here can get it right more than 70% of the time. If they can, they are multi billionnaires.
Without them, this forum here will be filled with lousy postings like yours which doesn't help me earn more money.

I have been monitoring Datasonic and Iris social forum for the past couple of days. Optimus may be right on Dsonic for losing a major contract. Go have a look at the social forum on Iris.

GOB's P/E ratio of 6.1 buying PNT at P/E ratio of 8 .
Pay RM50 million in cash and then issue a rights issue for shareholders to contribute cash.
This sure speaks a lot about the top management at GOB.
Are they really interested in maximising shareholders value?
2014-04-02 12:22 | Report Abuse
Thanks Icon for your info update. I have actually bought some GOB last week after seeing your comments and intend to increase the qty gradually until I saw your latest update. GOB may still fly, but the punch carries a much lighter weight now.

Was thinking of adding substantially to my portfolio even though they are doing a rights issue. But with this acquisition I am having second thoughts. Firstly, they are venturing out of their area of expertise and Secondly, the percentage of discount to their intrinsic value will be reduced.
