棕油价低致股价暴跌

实际上，若从企业价值（Enterprise Value，简称EV）的角度看，许多油棕股的价值被严重低估，为有意投资油棕股的投资者提供了低价买进油棕园的良机。（评估法请参考《30年股票投资心得（2018修订版）》）

棕油价低沉是导致棕油股暴跌的主因。在大马数十年的油棕种植史中，这种情形已不知出现了多少次，事实证明无论跌得多么低，最终还是大力回弹，长期投资者都取得丰富的回酬。

我们不可能知道目前棕油价格不振的情况会持续多久，但在种植面积无法扩大，而作为食品，在世界人口增加及消费国越来越富裕的趋势下（棕油的需求与消费国的经济上升成正比），对棕油的需求必然与日俱增，油棕种植业必能苦尽甘来，只是时间难以确定而已。故油棕业者及油棕股投资者，若长期投资，必能获厚利。

I've verified Supersaiyan3's info, which is correct.

If the farm affected is Foh Lim Agriculture Dev. S/B (farm), then LH farm may be is in danger. LH farm (STF) is just located less than 3km away fr Foh Lim.

Currently LH is safe bcoz the cull is within 1km fr that affected farm for now. If the situation gets worsen and extended to 3km or above, then u'll see the news of more than few hundred thousands of chickens will be culled!

So will hv to find out if it's Foh Lim & of coz LH mgmt official update by Mon. Not sure if anyone will contact the mgmt for details, just in case they do not update by Mon.

Sabah Agriculture and Food Industries Minister Junz Wong has advised the public here not to panic even after Kampung Kaulan in the district was declared as bird flu outbreak area as the situation is under control.

He said Sabah Veterinary Services Department had so far identified two farms affected by the disease, which will see 28,000 chickens to be destroyed starting today.

“The first farm detected with bird flu disease has 10,000 chickens and the other farm is not far from the first one, and all the chickens (in both farms) need to be destroyed,” he told reporters at the Veterinary Services Department (VSD) here yesterday.

Getting more & more chicks to be destroyed...eventually destroyed the entire Tuaran chicks?

On Friday (Aug 3), Wong said over 10,000 poultry birds from farms in Tuaran and areas within a 1km radius from where the case was detected will be culled. He said these animals needed to be destroyed to ensure that no virus was spread out of the contaminated zone.

Tuaran coverage is not big in Sabah, but 1km radius is consider very lucky & shouldn't impact to LH farm. Fyi, LH has 3% layer chix in Tuaran & 10% in Tamparuli. And broiler is 4% in Tamparuli.

I'm holding some LH shares lately, 10% of my portfolio. This reminds me of NOTION fire outbreak. I was damn lucky, LOL.
