Hi Haikeyila, That comment is on US but not Myanmar. The book above "Street Smart" cover topic of US on your link. But it also cover Myanmar and North Korea. You have to read the whole book but not just a section of the book.

300 units per year (chuckle). Sure, grandpa jim would be thrilled to invest in this country run by despots when opportunities abound elsewhere

300 units even if just RM50,000 per unit can up to RM15million. That could be insignificant compare to Tan Chong current turnover. But my buisness definately not generating RM15 million per year, at least not yet. Further, per unit definately more than RM50,000.00.

Despots! If a person want to look for opportunity in North Korea, do you think he is afraid of despots. You definately never read his book and never travel to Myanmar like Jim Roger did. Just Google "Jim Roger Myanmar" and see what you get. Please not put your words in his mouth.

Being an ex-partner to George Soros, Jim Roger is consider one of the highest risk investor in the world. His approach might not suitable to low risk investor like you.

However, as yearly sales only 300 units and initial investment USD2.5million compare to Tan Chong existing sales and assets. It become low risk investment as it start small (comparatively) in a high risk investment/country.
