Valuation of a company involved three levels in order to give a good picture of where the company stands in term of value versus price. KYY use the first approach by estimating the growth rates and margins of the business in the future. Such projections are high sensitive to the underlying assumptions.
In addition to the above, we need to do a benchmark valuation of the target business with its competitors. Pick appropriate metrics to compare for decision making process.
Finally, we need to perform an analysis on price to earnings and EBIT margin on a historical basis to study the trend in relation to the business performance over time. If P/E is on the lower end of a ling term average while margin are on uptrend, there is a good chance of value investment opportunity.
The key question here is, did KYY behave morally or get away with immoral acts which promote his self-interest? Mr Koon had achieved success and believed in sharing his success story with others. His motive is noble and he truly believed his stock picking skill will bring good fortune for himself and others.

I used to view what he did as pretty harmless. But I am not so sure anymore after seeing how the jayatiasa case was played out. I can see that there is definitely an element of self interest involved.
I had also read about KYY success stories and his recommendation of jayatiasa. but I chose not to believe/agree. but I had chosen to believe CIMB top pick of mudajaya and lost heavily. so can i claim CIMB a unscrupulous banker? today I heard KYY is doing a good job helping those less fortunate, I am very happy. this sort of deed is noble and worth an applause not belittling. past already a past, moral or immoral is just our guessing, karma never miss anyone, most important now we see the beauty of someone is about to bloom, why not let it grows.......
that is your style. moreover you know very well even though you do it won't arouse laud applause. KYY is different , he donate millions and all his wealth after his death. another one I know is HAIO Tan kai see and not mistaken BJ group vincent Tan......
I read you blog, you can be that rational. but never I imagine you can be that irrational and emotion with such little provocation. go to sleep lah , my good friend, good night
Anyway if KYY ask to buy at 2.04 and went up to 2.70 and you didn't sell, it call greed lor. Ever heard of the saying "a bird in hand is worth 2 in the bush" cannot believe that helping also get bashing. What in the world is happening?
KYY was asking PakChuiCheng while KYY was dumping his Mudahjaya and JTiasa. And until today, PakChuiCheng still a hardcore supporter of KYY. It's that what happen to 52% of Pakatan supporters?
When stocks already gone up you can gurantee KYY will want to take credit. But when it went sore like JTiasa and Mudahjaya that made charitable investors gone bankrupt he is quick to call you gullible and blame luck instead. KYY is big believer in luck or in Islam they call it takbir
KYY is good example...this that cannot be followed ppl normally bad mouth.why don't those who condemn him try his method if you claim he is a con or a cheat.
Are you still trying to protect a pump and dump expert here? KYY has victimize many, you still convince otherwise? And beside that he also bought bad politic into this blog
I Con.. does this mean mulai sekarang u wil give Notis Niat Nak Jual Kauter Yang I, I Con, Promoted Yang Harga Dah Naik?? Huh?? 3 day notice b4 u sell?? Huh???
up to now I tak pernah see you give notice before u sell to take profit on counters u promoted in ur blog... ada ke??

to be fair, I feel that uncle Koon is not totally blameless for the jayatiasa case
My observation is that he loaded up big time, talked up the share price, and then he unloaded in the market
Even though he declared every step throughout the process, that doesn't make him faultless
Even if he subsequently donated all the profit to charity, that doesn't make the whole case smell any better
I am saying this even though I myself is a blogger
All remember KYY pump and dump in Mudahjaya. He told us that Mudahjaya powerplant in India going to start last year. He told us because Mudahjaya was his baby. And all those believe in his lies got burn in Mudahjaya. Did he apologize? No, now he is using all the credible members in this blog to spread his bad politic and agenda. He is no different from Anwar Ibrahim.
Don't be a cry baby lah. Mudajaya's delay in power plant is due to a delay in approval by the Indian government. You expect KYY, who is no longer holding an executive role to be able to foresee it 2 quarters before it happened? U buy because of him u should take responsibility for your own decision. Did he put a gun on your head and force u to buy? Grow some pubic hair and stop whining like a 3 month old baby
Also, u obviously have no idea what is a pump and dump operation vs a continuous decline. There is no pump and dump for mudajya because it has been a continuous decline. So please go do a bit of elementary reading on investment before you come and do your infantile cry baby whining here. Otherwise, just shut up until you grow some pubic hair
I agreed with OTB,everyone must realize that volatility is a bigger risk short term than long term. If you have a longer horizon to reach a goal, market volatility that causes the value of your investment to plunge may not be an immediate danger given that you are not under pressure to cut loss as the underlying business fundamental still intact. If you do your home work, you may have the conviction to buy more when the price has reached a bargain level.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
