I guess they have done a decent so far in terms of recovery with the release of several hotfixes and a couple of major patches. There is a significant improvement in the game since its release and I am very hopeful that CDPR will eventually turn things around and make cyberpunk 2077 a hit. May be they won't able to make it a huge success like The Withcer 3 but they certainly have the capacity and capability to save this game from failure.
