Gloves ASP started in April 2020 and gloves counters started to uptrend from then on. Palm oil price started more than 1.5 year ago and yet palm oil counter still sleeping. yet you wanna con ppl to buy palm oil counters?

Palm oil versus gloves

1. China could set up glove factories in just 4 months but palm oil needs at least 4 years from planting to harvest of Fresh fruit bunches

So palm oil got long TIME Barrier

There is a time barrier before any palm oil glut unlike gloves. Gloves are man made while Palm oil is by nature which cannot be manipulated


2. Climate.
palm oil needs lots of water to grow so only found in Equatorial rain forest region . China only small parts can grow

so there is geographical constrain


3. Gloves are made inside crammed factories while palm oil grown on vast lands so spreading of covid 19 is limited or nil in palm oil estates

4. Gloves in declension due to glut and price war

Palm oil no enough and prices of canola oil now Usd1,000(highest last time was Usd600) and soyoil over usd53(last time at only Usd28)

So palm oil prices will remain very high

Very high 100% or more increase of palm oil prices mean they making over 100% profit

Gloves price war cause selling below ASP

Yes Plantation has a better barrier of entry...bcos they are limited land & gestation period is 4 to 6 yrs loh!

VenFx should study about Cyclical investing by Peter Lynch or Howard Marks to understand when to buy and when to sell at the correct timing
