Iris Corp Bhd has entered into a contract addendum with Tanzania’s National Identification Authority (NIDA) to complete

the delivery of revised deliverables under the principal contract.


It said the contract was for the procurement, supply of goods and equipment and the implementation of Tanzania’s

National Identification System based on smartcard technology.


In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the group noted that the addendum is for a duration of 18 months from the date of

signing.


"The total price for the revised deliverables under the addendum will be US$39.70 million (about RM167.61 million),” Iris

said.


The company said the addendum will not have any effect on the issued and paid-up share capital, gearing and the

shareholding of the substantial shareholders of Iris as it does not involve the issuance of shares.


However, it added that the addendum will contribute positively to the earnings of the group during its tenure. - Bernama

niise project was tendered 1 year ago ,....... tender price was too low,........couple with the price hike, inflation & weaker ringgit recently,.........iris might suffer big loses in the project,......better no to do it

The group had accused the defendants of allegedly failing to discharge their "respective fiduciary duty, duty of fidelity and/or duty to exercise reasonable care, skill and diligence as directors of the company". Meaning, the Iris Berhad new BODs and shareholders group together to sue all the ex-BODs for the wrong decision for buying into BCS shares. Right? But overall, the title of this piece of news is misleading and confusing. Saying "The High Court has dismissed Iris Corp Bhd’s lawsuit against its former chairmen Tan Sri Razali Ismail and Datuk Nik Azman Mohd Zain and former group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Tan Say Jim, in relation to losses incurred pertaining to the subscription of Border Control Solutions Ltd (BCS) shares."
