Just found out that the agreement GP signed with Dong Zong (to install KipleLive thermal scanners in 63 independent Chinese secondary schools nationwide) is GP sponsoring one thermal scanner at each school with FREE 2 years' service fee.

To me, it is good that GP could contribute to society...

I remembered that CC Puan or his management mentioned in an interview that GP spent RM1.5 Million in recent media campaign.

Invicibletrader Tomorrow goreng?

KUALA LUMPUR (June 16): Set to offer a complete end-to-end solution to banks and financial institutions, Green Packet Bhd is buying Singapore-based e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) specialist firm Xendity Pte Ltd for US$10 million.

With the acquisition, it will enable Green Packet to strengthen its digital identity verification services, a fast-growing sector as more organisations move towards their digital transformation. This, in line, will reinforce Green Packet's position as the preferred partner for digital financial solutions for various industries in Malaysia including telecommunications and banking.

"The acquisition of Xendity forms a key part of our go market strategy with a solid e-KYC solution," said its group managing director and chief executive officer Puan Chan Cheong in a statement.

"Although they (Xendity) are a new start-up company of about three years, their track record, experience, and capabilities as a main solution provider in the regulated e-KYC and ID management space should be applauded," Puan noted, adding that Xendity's solutions will add significant scale to Green Packet's digital financial offerings.

E-KYC specialises in technologies on document verification, facial recognition and biometrics and typically only requires users to do so from their smartphones or personal computers remotely.

Last month, Green Packet announced a tie-up with Tencent Cloud to leverage on the latter's facial recognition and machine learning capabilities to build a localised e-KYC solution.

Green Packet will be paying US$10 million for a 100% stake in Xendity, with a combination of cash and shares and with performance-based tranches. It will initially pay US$1.5 million cash plus issue of new shares worth US$4 million.

Then, over the next two years, Green Packet will pay up to US$4.5 million via new shares and these payments will be based on Xendity meeting stipulated key performance targets.

Since 2018, Xendity has participated in Bank Negara Malaysia's e-KYC Financial Technology Regulatory Sandbox by working with seven leading banks in Malaysia. Now, Xendity has become the e-KYC provider in Malaysia with the largest deployment of its solutions in the local financial institutions market, said Green Packet.

Apart from Malaysia, Xendity is also making inroads into Indonesia, said Green Packet.

Other than its digital banking dream by building an ecosystem under the Kiple brand, Green Packet has also recently ventured into the proptech space, with a licence plate recognition technology, in conjunction with the launch of its flagship KipleLive solution under We Are Ready campaign.

Gpacket is for medium to long term...
Those who intent to trade or for contra...
There are better counters to do that.

Gpacket.. this is a huge potential counter..
Just like AT at 0.02 or 0.03, no one believe in AT, today AT is acquiring Pearl Glove, and AT potentially will go up to RM0.45 once the acquisition completed.

Gpacket is a golden goose...
Think about that !
Choice is always yours.

Next QR will be super bad....

Why kenddle Court fund exit??? The answer is so obvious...

Posted by stressedesserts > 2020-06-24 08:58 | Report Abuse

@crypto the boss just bought 10M+ shares these two weeks combined...Why would he buy now if the QR is bad?

Posted by Cryptotrader > 2020-06-24 09:05 | Report Abuse

Long hold GP is not wise.
GP need to keep on raising fund.
So it will depress share price.
Hold GP is equal to gamble at casino. You either win a lot or lose all. This is not cslled investment. Might as well go to casino.
GP market cap will still stay above 500m even share price drop to 0.40..why? The ans is they will raise more fund and issue more share. They will do more acquisition... Xensity is just the first acquisition.. They will issue more and more share....... The consequences is share price keep on drop and never go up until share price reach 0.30....

Refer to "Gpacket is for medium to long term..."
Don't think it is a good idea to invest in a company which had made huge losses 8 out of the last 10 years. The management team had not changed much . It is better to wait till they turn around before considering whether it is worth investing.

Most of the great exciting " news release " they made in late 2019 and before mid May 2020 were Company written articles for which they had to pay advertisement fee s to be published in popular news media (e.g. Star Businees). Everyone can read these articles, not just those who subscribed to STAR , because they were paid advertisement which were opened for everyone to read. Articles investigated and written by STAR reporters are not opened for reading unless you are subscriber. YOu can only see the title and the first 2 lines.
Why do't Gpacket announced the "deals" in Bursa Malaysia or at Gpack Co. Website ? I think the reasons are obvious. Once announce in Bursa website of Company Website, they are permanaetly there are legal implications.

So take care.

Gpacket was one of the first few companies who came up with the wireless broadband product some years ago. Everyday you get to see or hear their advertisements about their product (P1 WIMAX) on the media - "potong lah, apa tunggu lagi" asking the prospect customers to ditch their competitors e.g. streamyx. It was the most hyped brand back then. They even hung a big banner on their building by the federal highway. What happened then? P1 Wimax has since been absolved by TMNet and rebranded to Webe. If you're a long and mid term investor, you better to stay away from this counter.

So many people are afraid they will lose their investment in this counter which has no proven track record of making profits. Maybe one day they will do well, right? It can happen. If someone keeps trying and trying, after many failures maybe can hit jackpot, right? So since there is so much uncertainty, if want to try your luck and try to win the lottery, just put some money on the table. An amount that you can afford to lose. If tak kena, no problem. Have no regrets and just move on. If you gamble too much and tak kena, whose fault? Yeah, it is our own fault. No need to blame others. So do the wise thing and don't lose sleep over your investment. Just put what you can afford on the table and do not worry too much. It is not worth the trouble. Enjoy the game.

TM also competes with gp. KUALA LUMPUR (June 23): Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM)  has partnered with the Education Ministry to install its smart digital health screening solution to help school administrators to quickly and accurately monitor students’ body temperatures.

In a statement today, TM announced that the installation of the solution known as TM ONE Predictive Analytics Screening Solution or ‘ONE PASS’ aims to curb the spread of Covid-19, following the reopening of schools in stages from tomorrow.

To date, TM has announced that ONE PASS has been installed in three schools namely Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Taman Tun Dr Ismail here, as well as two schools in Putrajaya namely SMK Presint 16 and Sekolah Sultan Alam Shah.

“The installations for two more schools, namely Sekolah Menengah Sains Teluk Intan, Perak and Tahfiz Ma’ahad An Noer in Janda Baik, Pahang are expected to be completed by the end of this month,” according to TM's statement.

According to TM, the health screening solution developed by TM Research and Development Sdn Bhd was capable of real-time temperature updates with an accuracy of /- 0.3 degrees Celsius up to 100 persons a minute within the range of between one to three metres.

“The real time digital solution includes a Visitor Management System (VMS), an employee/visitor management application developed in-house for self-declaration assessment and deployment of thermal camera and sensors to check the body temperature prior to entering a building or premises.

“VMS has the ability to store 25,000 user profiles and allows for a comprehensive on-premise tracking, along with open Application Programming Interface (API) that enables easy integration with other predictive analytics engine, pandemic Geographic Information System (GIS) and contact tracing system,” the statement said.

The solution is connected to a powerful analytics platform which enables mass individual analysis and swift in-building people tracking from a centralised dashboard, the data can also be integrated into the schools’ attendance system.

According to TM, the solution supported by Artificial intelligence (AI) technology also enables organisations to act quickly in the event of potential health risks and provide real-time alerts to emergency response teams and authorities and at the same time prevent new infections.

Only less than 2 months ago, the Kendall Court story was one of the boost er stories for GPACKET share price and now 新加坡私募基金Kendall Court·卖完绿驰10.8%持股 !
In late 2018, GPACKET issued 450million FREE WB on the basis of 3 free WB for every 1 right share subsribed. The exercise price of WB is 40 cents.
GPACKET share price was pumped up from around RM0.60 in early May to around RM1.60 in 3rd week of May2020. WB price naturally rose correspondingly from around 30 cents to about 50 Cents when GPacket shares were at about RM1.50. Many public investors (to diffentiate them from the “wolves”) thought that warrant B would be worth about RM1.50- RM0.40 (which is the exercise price) and so they keep buying warrant B. Very high volumes of warrant B were transacted at increasingly higher price as the mother share was pump up. Owners of the warrant B who were given 3three (3) free warrants for every right share they had subscribed in late 2018 must be happily dumping to the innocent public investors. Imagine 3 free warrants B selling at RM0.45 = RM1.35 !
Some public investors rushed to convert the free warrants to ordinary shares at RM0.40 but the mother shares dropped back to RM1.0 in less than 1 trading day on 19 May and then over the next 5- 8 trading days down to 90 cent, 80 cents 70 cents...
Did any insider “wolves” convert their warrants to mother share? I think the answer is NO. I think most, if not all their free warrant-B had been dumped to the innocent public investors at RM0.40 - RM0.55. By 3 week of May 2020, the wolves were probably richer by a few hundred millions, money from the innocent public investors who had great hopes and much rosy imagination of owning the shares of a soon to be great company in the making with all the great business news (actually paid advertisement by the insiders in the news media).
Having creamed tens (if not hundred) of millions from the public investors in a matter of a few weeks, are the wolves not able to buy back some shares which have dropped back in price to below RM0.70 now ?Sure they can ! it will give the public investors a good impressions. The key question is did they converted any Warrant-B or have they dumped to the public ? If the substantial share holders (5% or more ) have converted their warrabt-B, it would be announced in Bursa. The answers is very clear. None of them have !
So watch out. Public investors, please take good care of your hard earned money when dealing with companies with very poor past performance and the future performance is yet to seen. As the CEO said not too long ago when asked point blank by business reporter, they expect to turn around in a couple of years. This was not the first time it was said over the last 10 years.

Would it be likely that big projects worth tens or even hundreds of millions come to company which could not even manage its finance properly over a decade ? Can such company win big gov't projects?

I think if you are in charge of selecting a suitable company to partner with or to execute your project, you would choose a financially strong company?

Such a Company would have to prove from smaller projects and gradually perform better and better. This will take years even if they can transform themselves .

"errrrr tencent just partnered with them?"

We need to ask ourselves the following questions .

(1) If there is an important business partnership which had been formally sealed, a partnership which is going to transform the Company's future business performance, why was there no formal announcement in Bursa Malaysia? Why were there no announcement at the official Gpackage Berhad Investor relationship section as an important Announcement ?

(2) Why were so many exciting business announcements in April and May that were actually paid news advertisement announcement that appeared in News media like Star where all non subscribers can see them? Many other news media like Sun Daily, etc , read the advertisement announcement which are not copy right and then report again and it appears in many other news media.

In respect of tencent, I think it might be a deal which is at no loss to tencent. Many other companies may also be able to sign up a deal with Tencent to use their technology. I guess the more the better for Tencent. Why not ? Question is can Gpacket turn into a profit making business.

Maximus bro...ur price of 82 is not as bad as others which i think is over 1.

In my opinion, if u are a believer, just stay firm in your decision and hang in there. Sometimes reading too much in this forums can get u very nervous and making hasty decision.

No doubt there are many here give constructive comments, but there are many here just olain haters. Probably they had suffer huge losses chasing high or they are trapped at high as high as 1.50. Therefore the criticism and hates is understandable.

Do your homework and dig out more about the industry and the company, assess it and then see if it fits into your risk appetite.

Dont just listen to others. Just remember, others will not help u to make monies. Take your own stand, lose or win you stick by it and then move on.

However, if u are not comfortable with gp, then just cutvloss and move on. Its nit healthy to keep liatening to negative comments and lose sleep over it. Just remember, price fluctuation is normal and if u are looking at long time, one should not bother about the daily fluctuation

Gp certainly has plans up their sleeve. However, many are doubting their own execution power that include me. Plus the recent exit of kendal does not bode well for its share price. We all are just guessing here the reason for the exit. Some said due to kendall lost confidence which is a fair comment as a first impression. But people must also look at who is or are the parties that bought the 10% of kendall. This is equally factor

Every coins has two sides. When kendall exit all condems its game over. But why the buyer or buyers willing to pay a premium and why such a huge stake? Of course many will say it could he selling back yo the owner whixh i dun think that will be the case.

If we think perspectively, could the exit of kendal to be replaced by another entity to bring in other investment oportunities? And could it be the future plans of go require further capex that kendal is not willing tio commit?
