The 500 machine sponsorship is for the Chinese primary schools. I do not think the students will spend much on the e-wallets (I do not think they are allowed to use hand phones at schools). So the sponsorship is more for CSR and publicity.

Actually the Chinese community leader who signed the agreement with GP, is the big boss of FIVE petrol stations.

We need to be prctical on the movement of the Gpac shares. A few things need to be done before we can see any sharp movement :

a. the PP has been placed out and taken up.
b. the approval from Shareholders for the new Cloud Computing Business
c. the disclosure of the new buyers for the block of shares done by Direct Deal, if there is a single big buyer.
d. oficial announce at the AGM that GPac will bid for the Digital Banking License with its consortium disclose.

Imagine if the shares is now RM1.0 and then they placed out the shares at RM0.52 , how will SEC?Bursa or the shareholders view it OR will CCP placed it out to genuine investors or tale it up himself.

Think about it......wait till the AGM and the shares may spike a bit prior to that and esp when the PP takers have taken up the PP.

So have balls of steel for those who believe the story line that CCP has up his sleeve.

If the system is good and getting popular in the Gen Z, do you think Gen Z will give up and try other system after they graduated? I think their thermal scanning system is good, but kiplepay..... I really never heard of it until I kept seeing greenpacket on news recently... May be they targeting students , is it only existing in partnered campus?

Oops I missed that it was for primary schools.

Ok will re-edit with the quick facts from MOE 2019.

1298 chinese schools enrolled 522,283 students.

Averaging around 402 students per school.

Also cut monthly expense to RM 50 per month for food and snacks (although this feels like 90's expenses)

50 x 402 = 20,100 per school per month
20,100 x 500 schools = 10,050,000 (monthly)

1%-3% pa of 10,050,000 will earn around RM 275-826 daily.

I am leaving aside the hardware costs because I realised my estimates are way too high.. does anyone have any idea on the cost of kiplepay facial recognition system..

From what is reported in the press, students can pre-order their food by just scanning their faces. It is AI! Parents have the control of the e-wallet. So, without bringing phones to school, children can do their purchases and parents can have access to what their children purchased.

spartanfury perhaps this can help. but i am only aware of kiple live scanning devices.
they have 3 type
1. large scale scanning ai thermal solutions few hundred k. for hospital airports
2. medium scale about 20k to 80k
3. small kiplelive thermal face scanner rm6800 per unit. this is most common now. u will see in supermarkets

Dont overly focus on the 500 kiplelive free giving to school for charity.

The income are mainly come from kiplepay, ewallet by students. Every merchant has to pay on per transaction basis to this, generally between 1.85% to 2%. Not sure the charges through kiplepay. For me, the entering of kiplepay to school is a good marketing strategy for subsequent income from kipleypay.

Think the logic behind the motive, dont just see the word "free" giving. Again, your emotion follow the price up and down surely u will kick out by the operator soon or you cant sleep overnight when the price fall. Knwo what you are doing and relax, if you cant suffer any loss then this counter surely not suit you. expected high volatile at this counter if you aim to earn here.

Overreact based on price certainly will make you panic. Even if you buy based on price, just learn how the operator play.

say i buy something worth rm100. i tap on e wallet n pay 100. 100 is deposited to gp kiplepay system. and merchant has to pay a 2 fee to gp also?
