The effects of the vaccine generally only last through one flu season, which is about six months long. I see no difference with Covid-19 vaccines. MyEG is on the right path to venture into vaccine business.

（吉隆坡8日讯）MyEG（MYEG，0138，主板科技股）和中国安徽智飞龙科马生物制药，计划在我国进行的冠病疫苗第三期临床试验，已获得卫生部的肯定和支持。

该公司向交易所报备，是在今日收到卫生部与大马临床研究中心（CRM）的肯定，为将在我国开始进行的临床试验给予支持和帮助。

同时，MyEG和智飞龙科马需遵守有关这类临床试验的现有法律和条规。

“董事部致力于确保在不久将来，可开始这项临床试验。”

MyEG是在上月7日宣布合作消息，并协助中国伙伴冠病疫苗取得回教发展局（JAKIM）的清真认证，并成为我国独家分销商。

这将是在我国卫生部管辖之下，首个进行的最后阶段疫苗试验。

另外，智飞龙科马是挂牌于深圳交易所的重庆智飞生物制品股份有限公司的子公司，主要研发人体使用疫苗，且还是中国5家进入冠病疫苗第三阶段临床试验的其中一家。

闭市时，MyEG挂收1.75令吉，跌6仙或3.31%，成交量2886万5600股。

（吉隆坡10日讯/独家报导）我国与中国医学科学院医学生物学研究所（IMBCAMS），合作展开的新冠肺炎疫苗第三阶段临床试验，已正式获得马来西亚药剂监管局（NPRA）批准，而我国卫生部预计在2周内收到这批来自中国的疫苗。

卫生总监丹斯里诺希山受询时，向《中国报》证实这上述消息。

“是的，所有申请都在1月7日受批，包括临床试验研究准证。

“大马药剂监管局已批准在9家政府医院，展开IMBCAMS疫苗的临床试验研究。一旦我们收到正式信函后，我们会准备一个汇报会，我将会作出宣布。”

“我们预计将在2周内收到（这批）来自中国的疫苗。”

据了解，这或许会是第一批抵达我国的新冠肺炎疫苗，唯这批疫苗现阶段只用于临床试验用途。

诺希山也补充，卫生部会持续原定的计划，即招募3000名志愿者者，参与此次的第三期临床试验。

他也提到，这类疫苗临床试验早前已在多国展开，比如印尼去年就对中国北京科兴生物制品公司（Sinovac）研发的疫苗，展开了临床试验。

据报导，诺希山是在去年11月尾披露，我国将与IMBCAMS合作展开疫苗临床试验，当时原本预计在12月尾展开。

据了解，吉打双溪大年苏丹阿都哈林中央医院，日前已在线上招募临床试验志愿者。

EPF forced to see their holding in lots of stocks in KLCI for i-Sinar withdrawal... no need to speculate further... the key thing is MYEG is on the way to break above $2. The revenue from Covid19 screening and the sole vaccine (halal) distributorship with China pharma is a crucial re-rating catalyst... long overdue for $2.5-3. don't believe just sell... KUALA LUMPUR – Iris Corp Bhd has received a letter of intent to begin negotiations with the government over the RM1.2 billion National Integrated Immigration System (NIIS), people familiar with the matter said.

A source said there had been three days of negotiations last week between Iris, Home Ministry officials as well as S5 Holdings Inc director Syed Mohamad Hafiz Syed Razlan.

Iris was not available for immediate comment.

The IT service provider has been a front runner for the NIIS ever since a request for proposal (RFP) was called in 2019, when Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was home minister, after he terminated the project’s predecessor, Sistem Kawalan Imigresen Nasional (SKIN), due to inflated costs.

Estimates put the cost of the NIIS at about RM1.2 billion, a 66% discount from SKIN’s RM3.5 billion. Prestariang Bhd, which was directly awarded the SKIN contract from the then-Barisan Nasional government in 2017, is suing Putrajaya for RM732.86 million in damages.

Muhyiddin would go on to become prime minister while his Bersatu colleague, Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, took over the Home Ministry portfolio following the change of government in late February last year.

But the RFP also allows for a consortium of companies to bid for the project. Business publication The Edge, citing sources, had reported on August 24 that Iris had put in a bid through a consortium, with S5 being party to the deal.

Also, an S5 shareholder has links to Muhyiddin’s son-in-law, Datuk Adlan Berhan. The Vibes had reported that Avocat Sdn Bhd, which is controlled by businessman Lim Beng Guan, has a 3.62% stake in S5. Lim is a director while Adlan, who is married to Muhyiddin’s daughter, Nabilah, is a shareholder of Agathistwo Jia Sdn Bhd. – The Vibes, January 12, 2021
