Ambank is very good undervalued counter with low PE, high div yield of more than 5%(expected this year), and NTA of RM 5.48. Hope it will be target of M&A for bigger bank to take over. It is perhaps the only bank traded below NTA of RM 5.48 and share price of RM 4.25 with such a big gap.

GLOBAL liquidity is expected to make its way back into emerging markets (EMs), including countries like Malaysia, if the US Federal Reserve (Fed) pushes for easing of rates.

EMs witnessed billions in funds scurrying out after challenging 12 months as growth prospects in the economies eased and the US equity markets hit new highs.

Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd chief economist Dr Mohd Afzanizam Abdul Rashid said lower US interest rates will benefit EM assets, similar to what was experienced during the 2007/2008 global financial crisis.

“It would boost stock and bond prices as global liquidity would be shifted from developed markets to high-yielding countries, especially in Asia and other emerging economies,” he told The Malaysian Reserve (TMR).

Blood sucking bank. If forgot pin number of ATM card, must replace card and charge $12. Unfortunately regulator is sleeping instead of consumer protection. After banks merger left limited choice for consumers, banks can simply do whatever they want to make more $$$ with poorer services and less counter services or impose charges services. Also not allowed to withdraw FD over the counter, must have savings account with debit card and internet banking..... as FD must credit to your own savings account first, really can't see the logic other than $12 they want.
