or simply a legacy issue? how's the profitability going from here on?
do you think a profitable bank can trade at ridiculously low pbv?
the lousiest and least efficient affin trades at 0.40, ambank is much more profitable ok?

if you don't know how to calculate profitabilty, check this out

ZeaXG Halo, rational a bit can or not? AMBANK still has NAV of 5.22 after taking into account of the settlement. Considering they are still making profits of RM250mil per quarter, which is about 8.5sen per share. At RM3.20, that's about P/E 10. Assuming they issue new debts of RM3bil @ interest rate of say 4% p.a., profits will be reduced by RM30mil per quarter, ie. quarterly profits are now RM220mil (7.50 sen earnings per share). Adjusted PE is 10.7.
