你不需要工程学位就可以看出周一有些地方不对劲。道琼斯工业指数盘中重挫1,597点，尽管不可能十足有把握说出哪里出问题，但是这个最大的盘中点数跌幅感觉上好像是机器在作怪。纽约时间周一15:00过后，出现怵目惊心的15分钟，卖盘指令倾巢而出，速度之快，令人喘不过气来。


结果投资人停下脚步检视这波市场重挫，在上周之前投资人经历史上难得一见的平顺涨势。标准普尔500指数上周下挫逾3%，创单周最大跌幅，周一又重挫4.1%，自上周一以来跌幅总计7.8%。

佛罗里达州Ulin & Co. Wealth Management的Jon Ulin在电子邮件中写道：“我们主动打电话给我们的客户，讨论盘中重挫1,600点主要是因为电脑程式与高频量化交易，而非宏观事件或投资人急忙撤出市场。”

当然，不是所有的市场重挫都需要用非人为机构的因素来解释。市场是风声鹤唳。债券收益率飙升，股市估值逼近网路泡沫时期的水平。周一的大量卖压完全理性，只是折腾人--尤其是在上周五道琼斯工业指数大跌666点后。

归咎于电脑交易的市场观察人士大多把焦点放在周一急杀的那个部分--在收盘前一个小时的短短15分钟内。当时井然有序的卖压如滚雪球般越滚越大，道琼斯工业指数从下挫700点瞬间下杀1,600点。然后，跌幅迅速缩小。


“可怕的是市场下跌的速度，”阿拉巴马州BB&T Wealth Management高级副总裁Walter “Bucky” Hellwig说。“周一上午市场下跌是人的因素，但下午的狂杀则是机器引起。让我们想起2010年一样的反应，那就是到底出了什么事？”
