Kulim is actually not really undervalued after taking into account 49% stake in New Britain Palm Oil. Market Capital per hectare would be RM 52,000. This value is more than double of Swkplnt.

not much movement these days. but the 1st quarter results was really good one week ago when the results released. Hoping this year end will give dividend maybe?

Happy to. Four or five giants are attempting to takeover/control New Britain Palm Oil Ltd, an oil palm, sugar and cattle producer. If this go forward, Kulim will benefit, the extend depends on the price paid for NBPO because Kulim is the largest s/holder with over40% . Price of NBPO
was up on the LSE last night. Check it out. Buying Kulim is the other option for some duit raya. Kulim is Johore based and his highness the Sultan of Johore is also vying for NBPO. Consider carefully and GOOD LUCK! Cheers. Dusti.

Am beginning to suspect that investors do not appreciate the full impact of the benefit to KULIM in the quest by several parties to take control of New Britain Palm Oil. In the past two weeks the price of NBPO has risen from 412p to 510p, up 23.7%. Surely, Kulim, holding 49% of NBPO should reflect this appreciation of the value of its assets in its share price. Can someone crunch the numbers for all of us. TQ and good luck.

Last night NBPO close at 529p, equivalent to an appreciation of 28.4%. Is something nice going to happen for Kulim ?

Beginner1989 - Kulim wanted to sell it stake in NBPOL, becoz unable to exert management control over the plantation group.

@Beginner1989, even it drops to 3.25 low it is still comparatively very "expensive" considering that Kulim all time high of RM 16.00 in Feb 2011 is equivalent on an adjusted basis at RM3.25 (after its 4 for 1 bonus issue, Special Dividend of 90.94 sens etc ). So imagine if you plunge in and buy at 3.25, you are no better off than those who plunge in at its all time high of RM 16.00 in Feb 2011 ............ also CPO just crashed below the RM 2,000 pmt level - this does'nt bode well at all for not just Kulim, but also all other plantation counters ! Do be careful .... firendly advice from an old bird :)

I am getting confuse, from the announcement from the trading platform said the 1H net profit decreased 48.11%, but I check the financial summary, the revenue and P/L has been increased compared the previous year as well with last quarter. Just doubt which is the correct info?? Anyone knows??
