I am not an investor of Hexza but I do follow this counter. The price movement of Hexza today is not comforting as it broke below its 200 days MA of 71.5 cents to 68 cents and is now hovering slightly above the 200 days MA.

This is the first day of major price down . The chart does not look good for the short term...

Ayam Tua,
Initiated position in Hexza@68.5 cents although downtrend may possibly continue but my take is selling is near exhaustion and further downside is quite limited at this price level...next support if downtrend continues is 65.5 cents..

what happened? Already average down. Anyway, will continue to Q at 0.68, 0.65, 0.62, and 0.59 and then wait and see. worst comes to worst, left 3 years, right 3 years. prepared for this, what else should I worry?

Ayam Tua,
Have faith or don't have faith...this is not the point...Graham net net intrinsic valuation is important to determine margin of safety before price entry...It is a useful indicator but I pay closer attention to most important key indicators
- Is fundamental of the business improving, stagnating or deteriorating
- Is the Earnings per share , PE at reasonable value
- Is EPS INCREASING.....
- Revenue quantum, Revenue growth rate
- Dividend Yield, Dividend yield growth rate

The positive factor is the Q1 2014 Report ended on 30/9/2013 showed that earnings was better than the same period last year. Revenue was slightly up as well.

Posted by JXRepcoBuffet > 2013-11-29 11:15 | Report Abuse

Dropping to 67 sen now, meaning about equal to the (cash+other investment) per share based on September 2013 results, that's mean if buy now is buying the company business and future prospect for FREE!?? zero risk?

0.800 <--- I'm still holding what ... huge paper loss to me .. but I dont worry because this counter is good fundamental .. drop is expected after ex-date ... so? no fear.. 100% confident can reach 90cent Feb/March/April 2014 .. relax ........

hexza as a co. is good, no question. however, chem industry is red sea, believe market concern is limited growth in this sector plus TNB may boost cost again.

so no worries ... dividend is good .. this is my bank vault ... huge loss to me since I bought at 0.800 but I full confidence can go back there in no time ! Graham Net Net counters .. anything is possible!

Agree 100% with iafx...TNB will definitely boost cost...that is for sure..

Ayam Tua, I am really concern that you place so much FAITH IN HEXZA as Graham Net Net says it is super value buy...Just curious..what is the Graham Net Net value for HEXZA? What is the margin of factor between current price @ 67 cents versus Graham Net Net..??

--- brother, good question .. my faith comes from this article!

http://klse.i3investor.com/blogs/stock_pick_challenge_2013_2h/40677.jsp

--- other copy paste comment ....

kcchongnz The Graham net net valuation gives a minimum value of Hexza per share of 81 sen. This assumes that the owners say we don't want to do any business now and let us sell us all the assets we have; the equity investment we have at market price, collect all the receivables and assumes that 75% of them are collected; sell off all the inventories, properties, plant and equipment and assuming get back only 50% of the book value of them, and then pay off all liabilities and share of uncontrolled interest. So one can see this is quite a conservative way to value Hexza, and yet it should worth at least 81 sen.

But Hexza is an established manufacturing company engaged in the manufacture and sales of formaldehyde based adhesives and resins for timber related industries, ethyl alcohol, natural vinegar, cooler, liquefied carbon dioxide and kaoliang wine for a long time. They have been consistently making profit and cash flows, paying dividends to shareholders for years consistently. It is still a viable going concern, albeit with little growth. So if the company wants to sell off its business, it can still base on an earnings valuation.

Hexza has an earnings before interest and tax (Ebit) of 9.33m last year. It has an excess cash of 129m, and no debts. If Hexza's business can be sold off at just a reasonable low price of enterprise value 8 times its Ebit, Hexza's market capitalization should worth about 200m, or a share price of RM1.00 per share.

11/11/2013 11:55

--- bottomline: solid. TNB boost not a concern, it's normal and expected .. :-) happy day, bro ! ...

p/s: not into short term 67 cent 80cent etc.. am into long term potential $1-$2 .. and so on .. dont mind to keep my money safe in this bank vault, who knows?

Adhesives, Ethanol, Vinegar, Wine etc - all have their own fair share of market place ... just like PMCorp (choco) and Homeriz (furniture) .. :-)

let us all watch this price together say for about one year.. if nothing happens, wait and see another year.. and so on! why worries? GNN counters usually pop in due time either slow or fast ..
