PROPOSED DISPOSAL OF THE ENTIRE 85% STAKE IN DSG HOLDINGS LIMITED

BCorporation will be disposing its entire investment of 85% equity interest comprising 8.50 million DSG shares for a cash consideration of RMB431.80 million (equivalent to about RM265.99 million) (“Proposed Disposal”).

The Proposed Disposal is not expected to have any material effect on the consolidated earnings and NA of BCorporation for the current financial year ending 30 April 2018. However, the Proposed Disposal is expected to result in a pre-tax gain of about RM108.29 million at the BCorporation Group

Disposed Chinese firm, hopefully not ended up like B.Land where proceeds turned to bad debt and written off. Anyway, the above proceeds will be for operation purposes to fill management pocket expenses, I guess.

Cannot be bad debt as Bj Land has recourse to get back land sold by court of law

2 things can happen:

1. PAYMENT RECEIVE IN FULL
2. OR BJ LAND CAN SUE TO RECOVER LAND AND RESELL TO OTHERS.

SO AS THERE IS REAL ASSETS INVOLVED IT CANNOT DISAPPEAR INTO THIN AIR.

SO STAY STRONG

err... i was kind of hoping VT will grow Vietnam Toto business, address Cosway issues and make it profitable again, and selling off big but yet to go big overseas property projects, and start giving dividends, starting from 0.02 per share (less than RM 100 million a year) to 0.05 per share (less than 250 million a year) and occasional special dividend when some of its subsidiaries are sold at good profit.

If confident on recourse action, may not need to make provision for impairment. Of course as a minority, I also wish it could succeed...

yes, this is a bad model for gaming companies and its reflected in bjtoto's share price.

i cant remember the exact arrangement between bjtoto and bjc but they will run the game as manager and r only entitled to a commission from the vietnamese govt only.

i was tempted to buy bjtoto at 2.30 level last aug but after i saw the biz model for viet lotto, no thx.

I think above assumption is abit wrong. Vt make his mistake once on digi, he wil not repeat the same stupid mistake.

All the directors, high management will not receive any cash in their remuneration and salary but BjCorp Shares. The value of the share will set in 10% discount from the NAV...
From there, everyone will take care of the whole company

Berjaya Corp: Sells entire DSG stake for RM266m. Berjaya Corp (BCorp) is disposing of its entire 85% stake in DSG Holdings Ltd, comprising 8.5m shares, for RM265.99m in cash. BCorp together with the other DSG shareholders, namely, Earthlodge Investments Ltd and Elque Resources SB, had signed a share purchase agreement with Besino Environment Ltd for the proposed disposal of 100% equity interest, comprising 10m ordinary shares in DSG for a cash consideration of RM312.9m.
