林冠英说，政府将采取措施协助相关公司，同时也会着重于探索其他收入，例如转向鼓励国内旅游和从其他市场采购货物。这还包括保持国内劳动力市场的弹性，同时在短期需求疲软的情况下，确保我们的软硬件基础设施保持不变。

政府各机构密切磋商

“财政部正联合经济事务部、交通部、旅游、艺术和文化部与各别机构制定振兴经济计划。政府已经接洽旅游、物流、及金融领域的主要参与者以进行磋商。政府部门也与中小型企业以及与政府关联的基金和企业举行了会议。”

他说，卫生部在遏止新冠肺炎疫情方面做出了杰出贡献，尽管假新闻呈猖狂繁衍之势，但并未引起公众恐慌。我国的专业卫生人员应获得他们所需的一切支持，以克服此次挑战。

　　今天（20日）上午，一个振奋人心的消息传来：
　　2月19日0-24时，武汉、湖北、全国新增新冠肺炎病例均降至3位数。
其中，武汉新增确诊病例降幅尤为明显，从18日的1660例，到19日的615例，可谓“锐减”。
　　这个数字，也成为武汉保卫战发起“全面总攻”一周以来，取得的又一个积极变化。
　　2月14日，中共中央政治局委员、国务院副总理孙春兰率中央赴湖北指导组来到湖北省疫情防控指挥部，提出要“以更坚定的信心、更顽强的意志、更果断的措施，发起全面总攻”。
　　自此日算起，接下来的七天，武汉在针对疫情的“救治”和“阻隔”两大关键环节上，每天都在发生新变化。
　　应收尽收！拉网式排查摸清底数
　　“全面总攻”发起当天（2月14日），湖北省委常委、武汉市委书记王忠林主持召开了武汉市新冠肺炎疫情防控指挥部视频例会。
　　王忠林在会上强调，要把强化患者救治作为重中之重，并提出了继续新建“方舱医院”，千方百计增加床位等多项举措。
加快增设床位、提高收治能力，目标即是八个字：应收尽收，应治尽治。
　　2月15日，孙春兰率中央赴湖北指导组在武汉实地考察患者收治和床位准备情况时指出：“目前，最紧缺的就是收治患者的床位，一定要尽最大努力，千方百计增强收治能力，坚决做到应收尽收、刻不容缓。”
　　同日，湖北省委书记应勇履新后首次调研，便深入武汉市的医院、社区、超市检查指导疫情防控工作，看望慰问抗“疫”一线工作人员。
　　在武汉客厅方舱医院，应勇说：“方舱医院要坚持救治为主，把关爱和服务融入到救治全过程。同时，抓紧制定方舱医院的治疗规范、管理规范、服务规范。”
目前，武汉市定点医院已增加到45家、共有床位19161张；全面启用12家方舱医院，计划床位超过2万张。
　　全面提升收治能力的同时，应收尽收工作也在持续发力。
　　2月17日，一场为期3天的拉网式大排查在武汉3300多个社区、村湾同步展开。此前一天在部署这项工作时，王忠林强调，“不见底，打阻击战是不靠谱的”，底数摸清了，才能把握疫情防控的主动权。
　　据《湖北日报》2月17日报道，在大排查首日，面对新的工作任务，武汉市洪山区某社区工作人员却不像前几天那么焦虑，反而有了底气，因为先后有省市区下沉干部70余人到社区报到，给这场战斗增添了“赢的可能”。　
　　管控升级！一把手“暗访”多地
　　社区是疫情防控最基础的单元。2月15日下午，应勇在武汉检查社区管控情况时表示：“要发动社区居民一起守好社区的门，守好自己的门，守好自己健康的门，打响疫情防控的人民战争！”
　　2月16日，湖北省委省政府发布《关于全力以赴坚决打赢我省新冠肺炎疫情防控阻击战的意见》，提出全力加强社区管控。
　　紧接着，武汉于2月17日宣布采取最严格措施，明确要求武汉市各小区（村庄）百分之百实行24小时封闭管理。
“武汉市前期的小区封闭管理、排查存在不少漏洞，接下来一定不能流于形式。”在接受武汉市委机关报《长江日报》采访时，武汉大学健康学院一位研究员说道。
　　为了探查社区封控管理情况，2月18日，王忠林采取不发通知、不打招呼、不听汇报、不用陪同接待、直奔基层、直插现场的“四不两直”方式，暗访了江岸、江汉、硚口等地部分社区疫情防控工作。
　　社区工作的变化最能让民众有切身感受。“现在每家都能收到调查电话和物业的对接调查表，居委会物业和业委会也开始积极招募志愿者帮大家做各种工作。”
　　“小区有个总的大群，每栋楼有单独小群，都有网格管理者在里面发一些组织方面的事情和通告……”这是一位微博网友援引自己“武汉朋友”的讲述。
　　而这两天，也有不少武汉网友在微博上记录了社区工作人员为小区业主们发免费菜的经历。
背水一战！武汉各区立下“军令状”
　　武汉胜则湖北胜，湖北胜则全国胜。
　　有媒体将湖北新任领导上任一周来的战“疫”形容为“背水一战”。
　　对疫情防控工作的紧迫性，应勇曾这样表态：“与疫情相关的一个个数字背后，是一条条鲜活的生命，决不能熟视无睹，决不能无动于衷！”
　　在大排查行动的最后一天、2月19日当晚召开的视频会上，王忠林要求各区区委书记、区长在排查汇报材料上签订“责任状”，对确诊病例一个都不居家等问题进行承诺，下一步，如果出现疏漏，追责问责。
　　他的原话是：“不能不当回事，人命关天，如果再发现一例，就拿区委书记、区长是问。”
他还提醒各级干部：“疫情是一场大考，我们是当绅士还是当战士，是交出优秀、合格还是不及格的答卷，这是对责任、觉悟的考验，也是对人生的考验。”
　　事实上，问责与激励机制也在同步推进。2月19日，武汉市纪委监委通报5起干部下沉社区典型问题，共计有12名干部被问责。
　　2月17日，武汉出台《关于做好在打赢疫情防控阻击战中及时奖励工作的通知》。据《长江日报》消息，目前已有14位干部获火线提拔。
与此同时，抗“疫”一线的一些好消息正在陆续传来：神农架林区率先在湖北实现确诊病例“清零”；武汉的重症占比从38%下降到18%；武汉、湖北、全国新增新冠肺炎病例均降至3位数……
　　相比前期疫情暴发时的严峻局势，抗“疫”防控措施的成效确有显现。
　　针对下一步工作，王忠林在19日的视频会上表示，从20日开始，要推进新增确诊病例当日收治，全面跟进流行病学调查，为下一步赢得阻击战主动权奠定基础。

PUTRAJAYA: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the stimulus package will be announced soon.

The interim Prime Minister, on his Twitter @chedetofficial, said that he had just chaired a meeting with the Finance Ministry's top officials.
"This initiative will be announced not too long now," he said on Wednesday (Feb 26).

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong has consented for Dr Mahathir to be interim Prime Minister until a successor has been appointed.
The King is currently interviewing Members of Parliament individually to ascertain who enjoys the majority support in Parliament

KUALA LUMPUR: Interim Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has completed a meeting with the Finance Ministry’s top officials in regards to the tabling of the Economic Stimulus Package.

The economic package aimed to stimulate Malaysia’s economy and mitigate any adverse repercussions arising from the COVID-19 outbreak and other external uncertainties.

In his official twitter, Dr Mahathir said the initiative would be announced soon.

However, he did not reveal details of the stimulus package or the date of the announcement, which was initially scheduled tomorrow, Feb 27,2020.


The stimulus package designed mainly for the aviation, retailing and tourism sectors to cushion adverse repercussions from the coronavirus infections, which originated from Wuhan, China.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has announced that the viral epidemic could shave between 0.1 and 0.2 percentage points off the global growth rate but noted that the slowdown could be followed by a sharp and rapid rebound.As an open economy, Malaysia is not isolated from any external developments, as the virus outbreak is expected to affect the country’s economic growth during the first quarter of this year. - Bernama

BERJAYA CORP SELLS FOUR SEASONS HOTEL KYOTO FOR A HEFTY
GAIN
Kyoto, Japan – Berjaya Corporation Berhad (“BCorp”) today announced that its subsidiary,
Kyoto Higashiyama Hospitality Assets Tokutei Mokuteki Kaisha (“KHHA”) has entered into a
Real Property Trust Beneficial Interest Purchase and Sale Agreement for the proposed
disposal of the trust beneficial interest on the hotel component of the Four Seasons Hotel &
Hotel Residences Kyoto, Japan (“Hotel”) to Godo Kaisha Tigre (“Tigre”), a Japanese
company, for a cash consideration of JPY49.00 billion (about RM1.87 billion) (“Disposal”).
The Disposal is targeted to close in mid-March 2020.
Subsequently, Berjaya Kyoto Development Kabushiki Kaisha (“BKD”), another subsidiary of
BCorp, will leaseback the Hotel from Tigre for 17 years to maintain the present arrangements
and operations of the Hotel.
Both KHHA and BKD are 100%-owned subsidiaries of Berjaya Kyoto Development (S) Pte
Ltd, which in turn is held by BCorp and its listed subsidiary namely Berjaya Land Berhad with
each holding 50% equity interest.
The Hotel commenced operations in 2016 under renowned Four Seasons brand. The 5-star
Hotel is 5-storey cum 2 basement floors with 123 hotel rooms and is located within close
proximity of tourist attractions such as the Kyoto National Museum, Kiyomizu-dera Temple,
Sanjusangendo Temple, Chishakuin Temple and Myohoin Temple.
Besides the Hotel, the BCorp Group also developed 57 units of residences and also operated
under the brandname of Four Seasons Hotel & Hotel Residences in Kyoto, Japan. These
residences are not part of the Disposal.

The Disposal provides an opportunity for the BCorp Group to monetise its investments in the
Hotel at a very attractive price with estimated gain exceeding RM600 million.
“I am happy to dispose this Hotel which is only about 3½ years old for a huge gain. Together
with the 23 units of the Four Seasons Kyoto residences which were already sold and the
estimated profit from the potential sale of the remaining 34 units of the residences, the BCorp
Group is expecting to realise a total net gain of about RM1.55 billion with gross cash inflows
surpassing RM3.22 billion for our entire Four Seasons Hotel and Residences project in Kyoto.”
