Dear Jenny
With all due respect, would you please enlighten us on the share price of WTK Holding; why the share price keeps dropping as shown in the diagram but the company has posted good financial data on the paper? Why there is no dividend for year 2011?
I have noticed that ever since the OCBC Bank bought some 23 to 26 million shares, the price started dropping commencing June 2012.
As an investor, I would appreciate if you could somehow forward this email to the Board of directors should my questions are out of your scope of duty. I am sure the honourable BODs are more than capable of elucidating our concerns.
Please accept my heartfelt thanks for taking the time reading my messages as well as clarifying our doubts .

Sarawak gets higher demand for plywood from Japan KUCHING: Japan is increasing its import of plywood from Sarawak as reconstruction activities has picked up momentum in coastal towns badly damaged by the devastating earthquake and tsunami two years ago. Shin Yang group executive director, plywood division, Wong Kai Song said Japan's higher new housing starts this year had also spurred demand for imported panel products. “Japanese housing companies are now very busy with reconstruction work although they are facing a shortage of carpenters.
“This year's new housing starts in Japan were around 900,000 units, which is about 10% higher than 820,000 units last year,” he told StarBiz.
Wong, also former Sarawak Timber Association (STA) panel products committee chairman, said the depreciating yen had not affected Japan's import of plywood from Sarawak.
A weakened yen means that Japanese importers have to pay more to buy the same quantity of imported panel products.
Shin Yang group, which is Sarawak's largest producer and supplier of panel products, owns six plywood mills in Miri and Bintulu.
According to STA figures, Japan raised its plywood import volume from Sarawak by more than 10% to over 1.44 million cu m last year from 1.31 million cu m in 2011.
About 55% of the state's total export volume of 2.64 million cu m last year went to Japan. Sarawak's total export volume expanded by 374,000 cu m, or 16.5%, from 2.27 million cu m in 2011.
South Korea increased its import by 38% to 331,600 cu m last year from 239,900 cu m in 2011 although the country's anti-dumping duty on Malaysian plywood remains in force. The duties on eight Sarawak and one Sabah plywood suppliers ranging from 5% to 38% are in force for three years until February 2014.
These suppliers were penalised for allegedly selling their products in South Korea below production cost.
Wong said the average plywood price for the Japanese market had gone up by about 15% to US$550 (RM1,670.62) per cu m in the first quarter of this year from 2012, thanks to the stronger demand.
“There is another 5% to 10% upside potential in the price,” he added, expecting the growth in export volume to Japan to be sustained this year.
