Can anybody explain to me why last year Q4 2023 they made a profit of 47.5 Mill RM when Silterra was only 128 Mill turnover and the other divisions was almost similar ASs per the article below..


In 4Q FY2023, the Group reported a net profit of RM47.5 million against RM275 million in revenue. In terms of revenue breakdown, the Technology division contributed 47 per cent to total revenue, while the Energy and Information Technology (“IT”) divisions contributed 33 per cent and 20 per cent respectively to revenue.

The global semiconductor industry market affected the Group’s Technology division where it recorded RM128.1 million in revenue compared to RM254.1 million in 4Q FY2022. Revenue from the Energy division stood at RM91.7 million as compared to RM135.7 million in the same quarter last year, affected by lower average oil prices of USD74.7 per barrel, from USD115 per barrel earlier. Revenue from the Information Technology (“IT”) division stood at RM55.3 million from RM60.8 million in the same quarter last year due to conclusion of several IT projects in the previous year.

AQlso Inin q5 and Q6 there was only a difference of 12.7 Mill Rm differece in sale where Q6 was 12.7 Mill Less howener in Q5 the loss was "only" 15 Mill for silterra but Q6 it was 31 Mill rm in Loss...It does not make sence that 12.7 Mill less sales can add 16 Mill more Loss ??...Anybody can explain that to me ?

I did not expect the company is in so deep shit that the group MD has not come out to clarify the shit that the company is in. If it is in any of the foreign companies, he should have the dinity to resign. Maybe it is not normal for a captain in a listed company in Malaysia, to do the right thing. Maybe it is normal to stay on especially when there are no real bosses in the company to hold him responsible. We need to have a real boss to call the shot in the company before the company can be steer in the right direction. In conclusion, DNeX will be going through hell before it can be turned around. The current captain does not have the wisdom & foresight to steer the ship on the right path.

The share price is cheap but if the management team does not posses the right management skill, I could not find a reason to buy. EPF is people's money. Any right minded captain will at least come out and explain the situation. Otherwise, pack your bag and do the right thing.

Silent 88888 that is only applied to Siltera. Not DNeX. Hon Hai holds 120 millions shares @RM0.9, Hon Hai is having paper loss of RM67 million. Hon Hai will not put in any more money after experiencing the current captain performance.

You must know the History of Dnex undertakings to understand this Co. chaotic Decision----- Basically Bumi
take over this Time Engineering Co which is just a Electrical Wiring Co (a small Co---7 years to make a profit ).
Then they Got " jalan " secure Gov Digital / Software installation---Still wiring Co but sub-sub Gov contract (Soft
ware installation ) to many Chinese Installers ( very little margin Left ). New Oil Ceo came-in, change to Oil
prospecting but Petronas hands are Full of Bumi Contractors----Then approach Gov for NIIS ( now digital IC )
but Muhyddin has his own "maicai "---So lastly score Big, Bought Silterra ( Sold by Khazanah but it is close to
Bankrupt----100mil loss every year for 10yrs )

Why did the top 10 shareholders put in their money? I don't understand their intention. CGP did not buy DNeX shares that I can understand now. Hon Hai bought 120 millions DNeX shares wanted to secure the supply from Siltera with their man in Siltera. EPF ? and still others?

For prospective EV chip business, as I said earlier Apple now drop their EV project. As the main manufacturer for Apple devices, Foxconn's plan on EV manufacturing would be affected (as they knew their own brand doesn't have a chance against China and Tesla), which mean they might change their investment plan.
Back to Malaysia, Dnex is working with Foxconn to secure a JV for a 28 nano or 40 nano fab (mainly for EV chips manufacturing), so with business plan change on Apple which reflected all the way down to Foxconn. Do you think Dnex JV with Foxconn still continue? In fact, Dnex is super slow (maybe due to the working culture or lack of "guts" when there is no one in government to support).

MddleAge, the control of the subsidiary is the main reason for not feasible to go ahead. Even though Geely owes only 49% of Proton but the control is under Geely. The current captain still cannot reflect what went wrong during his time in Proton. DNeX will be the old proton till we find "Geely" in DNeX.

The ego of the captain maybe the cause of the dispute for an agreed 5 board members in Siltera ( 2 from DNeX and 3 from CGP). Obviously who was the one who caused the dispute. Never learnt from the lesson in Proton.
