For some muslims, I presume, Halida. Not all muslims will agree with you. Hence Halida should presume Bursa is not syariah-compliant too as it has listed non syariah-compliant counters. Hence Halida should not invest in Bursa, I presume.

Maybank IB recommends 'buy' call on Media Prima

KUALA LUMPUR: Maybank IB Research (Maybank IB) has recommended a "buy" call on Media Prima Bhd (MPR MK) with a target price of RM1.48 per share.

In a statement today, Maybank said its "buy" recommendation on MPR MK was followed by the launch of its new radio station, Kool FM yesterday.

"While we are uncertain as to how much revenue Kool FM can command, we do not believe that it will negatively impact earnings and dividends materially," the research house said.

"Our 2016 earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) forecast is already four per cent lower year-on-year. We conservatively assume that Kool FM and the home shopping channel to be launched in the second quarter of 2016 will not be immediately EBITDA accretive.

"We continue to like MPR MK for its cheap valuations of ten times FY16 price earnings ratio and high dividend yields of more than seven per cent," it added.

At 11.14 am, Media Prima's share price was at RM1.35.--BERNAMA

Now, we now EPF needs cash very much to pump in RM1.3 billion into MBSB. No wonder it keeps selling good stock shares like TAANN and MEDIA which deliver good dividends.

Most investors don't want to sell at this attractive price (DY: 7%, PE: 11, P/BV: lesser than 1) which is still undervalued. The price sure will shoot up if big funds such as valuecap come in later.
