If you think about it, if Malaysian government wants to promote epayment etc , wouldn't a PNB entity be the perfect vehicle ?
If purely government owned, not efficient. If purely private sector driven, Bumi interest might not be taken care of. And also, for a private entity, there is a limit of how deep it can really tap into government network and agencies.
PNB linked entity is the best as it is a public and private hybrid. And also it is apolitical
I am not promoting. I am just voicing my opinion as I am genuinely excited
did u know PNB is the major shareholder of both HTPADU & MSNIAGA? Yes! PNB owns 24% of HTPADU & 20% of MSNIAGA! My remisier told me a merger between HTPADU & MSNIAGA is very possible
htpadu & msniaga are in identical business. PNB is seeing value in merging them to form a single IT giant. just like PNB merged Spsetia with I&P & Petaling Garden.
With such a "good news", shareholders are selling?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 24-Jan-2019 Insider DATO' SRI MOHD HILMEY BIN MOHD TAIB (a substantial shareholder) disposed 150,000 shares on 22-Jan-2019. 24-Jan-2019 Insider DATO' SRI MOHD HILMEY BIN MOHD TAIB (a company director) disposed 150,000 shares on 22-Jan-2019.
i think htpadu-msniaga makes sense too. this is the only way to add value to PNB's investment in htpadu & msniaga. besides creating value, it lowers cost by removing duplication.
