The price difference between Lionind and Masteel was always around 10 to 20 cents.
Presently, the difference in price is around 45 cents.
Cannot understand the reason the price of Masteel is so weak.
Many sellers are waiting to sell.

Suppression means sooner or later it will blow up suddenly. Provided everything remains the same. Perhaps there are something that we are not aware of with regards to Lionind. There's a few article written on HBI which might swing the favour onto it. Furthermore, Masteel has almost zero exposure to exports, which means that it has been reliant on the domestic market for the longest time...Considering there are a few mega projects halted/under review, it is no surprise that it is lagging behind right now.. Unless PM visit to China brings surprises the share will continue to be unremarkable

all the sifu, I would like to ask a question:

What is the PE for masteel now? Due to it has bonus issue 1:5, and 1:3. I have confusion to calculate its PE.

if I use the last 4 quarters EPS, I get EPS=(4.38+12.88+4.02+4.2)=25.48

if I directly use net profit/total shares = (10589,000+38670,000+12115,000+17222,000)/422,224,000 = 18.73
*** this total shares 422,224,000 is already inclusive the bonus issue shares

assuming current price is 0.825,
If i use EPS as 25.48, the PE calculated is 0.825/25.48=3.24.
If i use EPS as 18.73, the PE calculated is 0.825/18.73=4.4.

So is Masteel PE now 3.24, or 4.4???

Since number of shares has increased, you should use the updated amount which will bring down the EPS. 4.4 is the correct PE for now.

Thanks dagnarus! In this case Masteel PE is considerably low compared to its peers Annjoo, Lionind and almost same as SSTEEL. Still can buy more.

i personally think annjoo is better than masteel. masteel earning potential used to be around 2.3sen. If you look into past earnings, usually there's other income like 7million forex gain in master earning. I would not choose masteel, especially scrap metal prices hike a lot. It cannot compare to lionind and annjoo since masteel is not iron maker. Good luck
