TF got more than 6b to buy market share. A small loss is nothing compare to the amount of cash AA has. As llong as people continue to fly AA over others, AA will be truly a big Asian airlines.

They need activities, once the fund achieve target they buy/sell
If not those sit in citi tower will not have a job. and for this few month their staff stress increased tremendously.
can take a look of cessation of broker/fund whopping high for this year.

6 months ago ticket sold by AA is at losses because oil price is high on the day it fly. Ticket sold today for future travel on current oil price is on higher profit if oil price keep going down. Hold on ur AA and buy more when announce Q3(bad) then collect SD . Q4 will be superb because of higher margin from oil different. (Capital appreciation)

AA accumulated net profit for 2 quarters ended 30/6/18 is 1.4 billions compared to the whole year 2017 only achieved 1.59 billions. In short, the current price < 2.70 is dirt cheap

CIMB is a jilted AA lover...sure will give a very low target price. Anyway, they one of the worst IB out there, as such their opinion doesn't carry much weight.

One question to ask. In 2017 Airasia owns 204 A320neos. If each one costs USD 100 mil, then the property, plant, and equipment of the balance sheet should be close to 80 billion RM. How come it was only 12 billion RM?

anticonman, because nobody wants to waste time!!!! Ok, ok, i will be nice! Because EPF buy, sell, buy, sell, all the time. When you read information, you should read all of it. The conclusion so far in this forum is because EPF have different managers take care of their money, so one may have different opinion on one stock from another manager, also managers may have to balance between different targets.

Sardin i. They say they operate 106 aircrafts only (in the books of MAA) . ii. depreciation. iii. Some are leased aircrafts. iv. Some carries in the books of subsidiaries. v. Airasia bought those planes much cheaper than others because of negotiation skill and volume. ETC ETC. But you are right on one thing, its a small sum compare to the size of the fleet. That's why Airasia is selling AAC to monetize the assets.

Sardin, some say the actual purchase price is only 50% of the list price. Maybe actual purchase price is only USD50m / plane. If you look at AAC, they sell 84 planes (correct me) and some engines for 1185m USD. So on average only 10-15m USD per plane. Airasia says they could book about RM1b profit (couldn't recall the actual number).
