still optimistic about AAX result...without foreign exchange gain should have loss 46mil but good thing are lucky they got control their cost and cash flow position from operation increased by much compared to last quarter...as long as they got cash to cover their maintenance, lease and interest cost is fine...

AirAsia group is expected to release its first-quarter 2019 results on May 29. A local research house has forecast core net profit of RM147mil (minus 59% year-on-year).

“Management has done a good job to retain high load factors in first-quarter 2019. However, yields were exceptionally challenging in Malaysia, India and Thailand due to softer consumer demand and stiffer competition.

“We are also concerned on the group’s financial year 2019 growth plan to deploy a net addition of 18 aircraft. There has been no aircraft addition in first-quarter 2019, which implies that all the aircraft will be deployed in the subsequent quarters. We deem this as excessive under the current market conditions,” the research house said.

59% less year on year is alot actually. At least in the black when SG Airlines in red.

info from 3.0 airasia stated hedged oil at 79USD for 50%.....the balance you can check the oil price ranging from January and February

AAX business mostly outside Malaysia that’s why got forex gain. AA majority income coming from Malaysia and borrowing are in USD. So, current weak Ringgit is not good for AA. Got it boh?

When AA oil is up,
no worries guys, everything is fully hedged

When AA oil is down,
no worries guys, jet fuel is going down

When The Dollar was appreciating,
You and your sifu used to say, no worries guys, everything is hedged etc

When The RM was going down, you buggers used to say no sweat guys, borrowings hedged, earnings is USD can convert to RM etc.

So you already used to spin from all sides hence why ask now if its good or not cos no matter what, u and your Jaya would spin

For short term investors (= traders), they need to cari makan daily loh. Some traders feel stressful, some traders feel relax. This depends on that trader personality make up loh.

For me, I feel relax while trading daily. Little stress only.

In stock market... short term is basically just a voting machine ... everyday people will be voting up or down up or down which is cannot be predicted.. but in long term .. stock market is a precise weighting machine showing a company is good or not by its profitability and will be reflected on its stock price

In term of scientific analytic skill....we should not bias in looking up trend should also look at the down trend....
