Guys/gals, eps decreased 2.5% y/y. There won't be any big upwards movements on the share price for the next 3 months at least until the next quarterly result is out.
My theory very simple: Are they down below RM1? Chances vry low..TP? min RM1.2 or maybe can go higher...worth to buy with current price? Yes, of course, but buy on ur own risk...
Guys, to trend up, who is buying? You and me not buying, retailers not buying, RHB and Kenanga also not buying under their wealth management, the owners are not supporting, not matter how good the valuation is, it just won't go up. Share price spike is all about mankind activities and aggressive interception, without both, it will just stay there. RHB/Kenanga are just small boys to make comments, don't trust their research.
if you believes this stock will give u a return in a long run (as long as fundamental is good), just ignore short term fluctuation. but do careful because this stock has been overbought, so some correction may occur.
Main support @ 1.07. If you draw a line on the chart, you can clearly see the price that went over 1.07 was because felda acquired on the 16 & 18 hence it pushes the price up. I believed it would consolidate for the next 1-2 week before breaking 1.14.
Dividend of 1.2 plus 1.2 is nothing to shout about. EPS of 10 sen, depending on what PE one attaches to the counter, its price is anything between 90 sen to 1.20. Don't forget its price have risen 100% in 12 months and those just in may be holding the baby.
buy 0.46 sell 1.00, my profit 117%, 2 to 3 yrs back, when trading at 0.46-0.55, the dividend is damn great, now that the price have more than double, yield drop drastically
for those who are still holding, my advise is to take your profits if any. like any Oil stocks there have peak and are now in correction mode do not hold it for the 1.2 x 2 dividends traditionally aug - oct are down months for stock mkt worldwide & after a 7 mths run since jan without a serious pull back, chances is you will see a bad one soon u can always buy it back cheaper near ex-date in sep/oct for the dividends.
i cannot talk the stock price down, but the mkt forces will do it
the rule of the thump is to "protect your profits" if you want to be in the mkt for long unless your are a millionaire than you can lock it up forever. there are no good stocks when the mkt kaput!!!
Posted by wm83 > Jul 24, 2013 11:24 AM | Report Abuse wanna ask a newbie question, i bought pantech-LA, does it work like warrant? mother share increase, would LA increase? what's the difference?
Pantech LA is a hybrid investment instruments. It is also known as ICUL, irredeemable convertible unsecured loan stock. Holders of Pantech LA (Face value 10 sen) is paid 7% coupon rate (3.5% every 6 months), or interest of 0.7 sen a share a year. Similar to warrant, you can also convert your LA share to Pantech share with a conversion rate of 6 LA to one before the expiry date end of 2017. In essence, LA provides the benefits of a bond and a warrant until it is converted to an equity. Hence LA will increase in price as Pantech does which is evidenced in its movement with the underlying share.
So with Pantech price at 1.08 and LA at 18 sen, which is a better investment?
A analysis of the investment value of LA basing on its cash flows from the coupons is 11.0 sen. The assumption of risk premium is 1.5% over the risk free rate of 3.5%, and hence a required return of 5.0%.
Using a historical volatility of 35% for Pantech, the option value of the warrant portion of LA is 41.9 sen, or 7.0 sen per LA. Hence the total value of LA is 11+7.0=18.0 sen.
Hence there appears to be no difference in whether one invests in Pantech or LA.
statistic show that 90% of retailers lost money even in a bull mkt it's because of "greed & play on hope" as long as you profit from the mkt run you should be thankful regardless how much you made like i said "protect your profits"
all is the expert or master...you never face the situation that, when i bought the share, it will drop and need to hold; after sell out then keep up, really haiz...
super911, now i change my strategic to more focus on the share with give out dividend,at least it drop still can get dividend,no like other wait for nothing, hahaha...
Good, you are definitely on the right track. Besides that, 2 more things you might want to take note also:
1. Is the dividend being paid out consistently? 2. Is the dividend yield attractive? You see reits, those that bought during the hoohah period now all stuccked.
