By roughly checking the price they sell it at lost? At least under IPO value. Unless the stock they sold bought it at low price which lower then IPO price.
The Edge report is as good as telling you becareful with the stock. With this kind of news on print media, it has created a lot of negative perception for the company. Unless the company support its own share price, I think the all-time low price won't hold. Institutional funds are existing from the stock to protect their capital.
Going to be a volatile stock. Internal issue getting complicated as such will Tanjung Phai project be awarded to them?
Remember folks, the one running the show now are not the substantial shareholders. Selling pressure will emerge. Changing counter is the only option for institution funds now!
Some member here were inputing purely wrong info or fake info out of their own imagination without any truth finding. Even ready info on the media also don't know how to read or should say understand. Some acted very emotion and some just like crooking crow. No wonder after 1999, retail investors in Malaysia were getting fewer. Most of them don't have analysis skills, investment knowledge and did their own in depth study on the company. I believe after this super boom Malaysia's share market since 2009, the next recession will drown this group of people into deep sea, so are their hard-earned money. Well, every economy boom will end by a recession, then economy will raise up again, this is economy cycle. MD of Benalec, Dato Leaw Seng Hai was a controlled stake holder of Benelac, controlled thru Oceanview Cove ( owned 56.86% of it directly by himself), arranged by their late father. You guys can check this out. Their brothers are only minority in this entity. Who said institutions players were existing from this counter and changing counter? During last 2 weeks, there were strong selling pressure from some fund manager to cut short their holdings plus retail investors as well, but buying interests from institution investors also very strong, that why its price bounce back from 87 to 1.01 now. The trading volume was very small now, selling pressure was eased out now. By the way, follow the newest analysis report from all the investment bank and brokering house, most of them have a buy call on it, none of them gave "Sell" recommendations to it. If I missed one, please correct me. The fund managers will do complicated detail analysis on one company, unless their loss their competitive edge, otherwise they won't easily existing one counter. I think this counter was oversold and the current price already price-in all the risk factors.
This is just like a drama of a family, two brothers caught stealing, big bro stand out wanna bring them to justice and then settled themselves secretly for the sake of their own face. Then we little investors got burned in the drama. Look at the announcements before the quarter report is out. Directors have been disposing, then buy back when the price drops below rm1. From who they have taken the money? One year dividend 2 sen only. Worse than some counter like homeritz who gives dividend of 0.375 sen a year at price of 0.59 now. Point is, they couldn't execute the main project Tj Piai until next year June. If you are optimistic about their earnings, then continue to give your money to the directors who knew what is going on. KWAP is offloading. Ted tapering might be happening. A lot of uncertainties in 6 months time. For investor like me, is offloading at 20% loss, because I believed in them. Can u swim against the tide? Just a piece of my thought after investing in this counter for 6 months at 20% loss
Should you find yourself in a chronically leaking boat, energy devoted to changing vessels is likely to be more productive than energy devoted to patching leaks!
KWAP is in process of doing that! What about you, folks?
Tanjung Piai overhang: Its share price is languishing at an all-time low, likely due to the uncertainty of whether the sale and purchase agreement (SPA) for the Tanjung Piai reclamation works can be signed by end-2013. At this juncture, negotiations are ongoing, with no meaningful leads - CIMB
So folks, without project benalec got to sell land but that in not their nature of business. If there is no more land to sell, how?
In the business world, the rearview mirror is always clearer than the windshield!

Shares of stock lose value when company profits drop or investors believe that company profits will drop.
Whatever the reason loving a stock, separate your emotions from the hard reality that it may be time to sell.
Why hang on to shares that are depreciating? Hoping the shares would pick up again? But this is a very practical way to see your money melt down like a burning candle.
1. Remember folks, the change in management & lawsuits will affect market sentiment for benalec.
2. Benalec Holdings Bhd is relying on its land disposal transaction to mitigate the short-fall in marine construction activities.
3. Latest, the BoDs had on 10 December 2013 issued a notice to the Purchasers to terminate the SPAs due to the Purchasers’ failure to settle the payment of balance of land sale consideration amounting to RM48,883,075.56.
So folks, will the Q2E ended 31/12/13 be profitable? Careful now!
Latest: CIMB Research has downgraded Benalec Holdings Bhd to a Reduce (from Hold) at RM1.01 with a lower target price of 93 sen.
Investors become emotionally attached to a stock and overlook the company's shortcomings. Whatever the reason loving a stock, separate your emotions from the hard reality that it may be time to sell.
Risk comes from not knowing what you're doing! Remember folks latest from CIMB TP at 0.93! Will it price get lower than the TP? Will 0.87 hold? Careful now!
Outlook by CIMB : Benalec’s performance would likely be dampened in the short-term due to certain changes on its land sale method and slow progress on its marine construction. However, its long-term outlook remains intact due to the attractive sea-fronting land concession in Johor, which is expected to start contributions from FY15 onwards, albeit in a gradual manner.
Benalec has cancelled its sale of land for Rm54.31mil.
But Benalec had said earlier that it planned to use the proceeds from the sale to finance its ongoing projects & to meet its working capital requirements!
In the business world, the rearview mirror is always clearer than the windshield. How?
Wow.... Suddenly all the negative comments come from nowhere. You guys planning to buy at lower price? Or just so nice to share this so that people not get caught in this counter? So what the recommendation for those who hold this stock now? Sell? Switch to other counter?
Just curious if you (BullBear) have been holding stock in this counter before? If yes are you making money or loss money? Mind to share with us which just small investor? Hope to hear from you soon since you are very active now!
Well, bought at 0.920 & disposed last week at 1.040!
Tanjung Piai project, further extended the deadline of the sales and purchase agreement from Dec 12, 2013 to June 11, 2014. This was the second extension of the deadline. The first deadline in June 2013 was postponed to Dec 12, 2013.
Folks, this delay is not totally unexpected as there have been limited leads on the progress of the SPA recently. However, investors are disappointed that no meaningful progress has been made since June 2013.
Remember folks, beware of the little expenses; a small leak will sink a great ship. So all of this raises the question: What do the CEO know that you don’t?
Benalec has decided to drop all legal charges against 3 family members after 2 of them resigned form the board.
But Bursa has been looking into the matter if there is any breach with regard to listing requirements, regardless of whether Benalec is taking action against their directors or they have resigned.
So folks, all of this raises the question: will the tussle end there? Careful now!
Agree with u BB, the best price to buy is below 0.50 because hired lawyers nowadays is not cheap and at least need to spend 50% of current price.3 of the blood suckers possibly already dry up the capital pool, same case with muiind.
