As per disclosed in the Related Party Transactions (Section 8) of the IPO Prospectus , SSB had on 31 December 2008 entered into an agreement with the State Government of Melaka to reclaim and develop a piece of land measuring an area of 720 acres, and pursuant thereto, SSB had on 10 September 2010 entered into an agreement with BSB to appoint BSB to undertake the reclamation works for the said land ("Reclamation Agreement").

The Board of Directors wishes to inform that prior to the original date of completion under the Reclamation Agreement being 24 April 2016, BSB has been granted an EOT by SSB for a further period of four (4) years, up to 24 April 2020, to complete the requisite works under the said Reclamation Agreement.

Land in prime area is in short supply and therefore pricey. Also no one would reclaim land unless it is in or near the prime area.
Weak rm means purchasing land is attractive to foreign investors.
