Takaful :
Moving forward, Covid-19 outbreak to cause a decline in premium income. In view of the extended MCO and anticipated weakening business sentiments in 2QCY20, we are expecting the group’s NEC to be negatively impacted. This was predominantly due to the social distancing guidelines and travel restriction which might lead to lower sales from its Family Takaful segment. We are also foreseeing a decline in premium income from the motor and fire insurance as a result of possible weaker consumer spending. Moving forward, we are also of the view that affected policyholders might be letting their insurance policies to lapse as they might treat insurance purchases as less of a priority.

With The recent up trend in Takaful....
In view of the Hari Raya....
Investors will take Hari Raya profit in Takaful...

That's why you are seeing Takaful dropping...

The Qtr End result just release in May 18, and the result is just up a bit and not looking promising..
Although a lot of people have the opinion Takaful is good... ( that is in the long term 2- 5 years time).

But Takaful in the next Qtr Result... the result might not be too good, due to Covid 19..

Take profit if you have profit...
Takaful... buy back when the price is cheaper...

Think Covid-19 wont affect much to TAKAFUL

those who pay insurance premium will continue to pay
as insurance protection is also the needs of people

dont forget Msia muslim community potential plus its Indonesia potential

Do you really think, people are so good and pay their premium on time?
Mostly companies are the one paying for their employees health benefit. Companies are forced to pay.

Tunggu company-company gulung tikar, Tiga bulan no income, ntah premium dibayar ke tidak. Tiga bulan no premium, automatic no coverage.

It just continue with the service by Rhb islamic but with higher fee. The existing 10 yr agreement expiring on 31 July, fee was Rm100 million. Now another 5 yr for Rm145 million.

Basically status quo. When the decision to terminate was announced Takaful fell so logically should rise today. But markets have no logic. Interesting to see what happens today. Me think up RM0.30.
