Malaysia’s MyHSR Corporation has launched two tenders to secure the services of consultants that will assist with regulatory submissions relevant to the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High-Speed Rail (HSR) project.
The tenders are for a land consultant and an environmental, heritage and social impact assessment consultant for the rail project, reported Channel News Asia (CNA).
MyHSR said deliverables from the consultants “will be displayed to the public during the requisite railway scheme public inspection process planned for early next year”.
Suspended since September 2018, the HSR project’s construction was supposed to resume at the end of May. However, it was further moved until the end of 2020.
Speaking at a ceremony marking the official resumption of the Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link at the Causeway, Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said Malaysia had proposed some changes to the HSR project and that discussions between both countries were ongoing.
The proposed HSR line targets to reduce travel time between the city-state and Kuala Lumpur to about 90 minutes from 11 hours currently on existing train services.

MyHSR CEO Mohd Nur Ismal Mohamed Kamal encouraged local firms with relevant experience to participate in the tenders.
“These activities are a critical precursor component for the project and have a significant impact to the overall delivery of the KL-SG HSR project,” he said as quoted by CNA.
“The ensuing S.4 gazettement of a corridor width of 500m will facilitate additional works for the project, such as soil investigation and utility mapping, which will allow further refinement of the HSR alignment prior to the land acquisition exercise.”

Price still stagnant despite movements in property counters.Hope the Tan family consider giving div to minor shareholders instead of benefiting themselves..
Should attend the AGM and voice our dissatisfaction with the Board & management for not considering shareholders' interests but only the TAN family's interests.
The last dividend was paid 9 years ago despite co making profits. Prior to that it was in 2001.
Agree, cashflowman. I completely do not understand why the company does not even bother to reward shareholders in any form, whether through dividend, bonus issues etc.
Why stay listed? Might as well take take the company private.
Improved QR. Hopefully the Tan family have the integrity to declare dividends for minority sholders who also invested money into the company. The last dividend payment was almost 10 years ago.
Finally they declare a paltry 1 : 100 sh div after 10 years. Hopefully after this Tan family will give div more regularly and not scrimp on minority shdr .
