The problem with KUB landband for plantation is the plot is too small. KUB Malua Plantation buy the Kg. Kuamat Sungai Kinabatangan - purchase price is at RM100.4Million in 2019 with area at 1,534hectare. so is RM64,629.72 per heactare where per acre is rm30,462.172. It is expensive. With So small area how to cover cost.
Hafid, your comment make sense. However, if you compare to the transaction between Dutaland and BPlant, Dutaland also dispose the piece of land of 11600 Heactare for RM750mil. So equivalent to RM64,655 per hectare.
I believe the land KUB buy from KWANTAS should be better than the land BPlant but from Dutaland, at least Kwantas is quite a good manage plantation company, compare to Dutaland.
2) I believe Dato Johari is a smart investor, since he willing to acquire KUB at higher price, than mean he know the future growth of the company.
Hopefully kub just sell of the land and concentrate on business which there know best or sell it and get delisted if the offer price for the land is good. Malaysia father change of government not much change expecially on the oil and gas contract which still award through certain closed negotiation and not through open tender and still give to incompetence company. Why not just compete same level with others. Open to the world and get business from the world.
