This is probably the 2nd highest close price in recent history, below recent high of 46 sen, ahead of a weekend. Majority of the vol was traded between 39.5 sen and 42.5 sen.
Market sentiments were lifted by a rebound in glove counters. Got to see how it goes next week...
Another asset rationalized at 80mil, after selling plantation for 158mil.
Almost a quarter of billion into the coffer.
Well, it will intrigue the famous phrase "something is brewing" in the financial papers next? Smart operator or some says election is near so the vehicle need to be loaded up??
(Extracted from the announcement document:) The Disposal was completed on 25 June 2020
The gain on disposal from this transaction based on the Group’s consolidated NA of KUBE as at 31 December 2019 of RM47.7 million is RM32.3 million. Based on the number of KUB ordinary shares of 556,464,690 units, the consolidated EPS and NA per share of KUB is expected to increase by approximately 5.8 sen. The Disposal will reduce the Group’s gearing ratio from 0.31 times to 0.28 times https://www.bursamalaysia.com/market_information/announcements/company_announcement/announcement_details?ann_id=3062278
plantation sell 158mil + another asset sell 80mil total 238 mil cash=0.40 cash. Annual report stated more than 3500 hectar of land did not revalue long time
Bloom, ada sesetengah orang jual pd rm0.44-0.45, selepas itu, mereka beratur balik untuk beli balik pada harga rm0.42-0.435. Inilah cara sebahagian kelakuan manusia dlm share market.
It touched a high of 45.5 sen, before making a U-turn lower. Overall, market sentiments were not good, impacted in part by fairly steep drops in glove counters and some speculatives. KLCI continued to drift down 1.06 pts at closing and Dow futures dropped 200 points in the afternoon.
In the last few days, trading vols were low, mkt operator could be seen accumulating shares. However, when the operator started to open up trading vol like today, mkt operator would be distributing his cheaper shares to punters/traders as well.
Got to see how it goes next week after the operator studies the trading stats for today and plans the next course of action.
I remember somebody ever asked me if I had a target price for this counter.
My reply was, "Frankly, I do not like to set a target price for any counter. A lot will depend on a number of variables. To be realistic, the first hurdle is for it to break the recent barrier of 46 sen...."
Look at other forums where very high target prices were quoted, eg glove counters, what happens now? Some investors/newbies get trapped at least for now.
Do our own analysis. Do not simply take target prices set by others as a buy/sell signal. Mkt operators like to use their runners(could be among us) to shout high target prices to push up share prices.
Lately during MCO the company undertakes two disposal 1. sold plantation at 158m and realised a gain of 122m 2. sold shares to BJ Corp at 80m and realise a gain of 32m The company will announce additional profit of 154m at year end.
in addition, the cash position will be boosted by 238m. Together with the current cash on hand of 121m , KUB will have potential cash of 359m when the transaction is completed at year end.
The company has 556m shares and debts of 82m assuming it can reduce it further by 10m. then, the net cash of the company is 359m minus 82m is 277m.
The net cash per share is 277m divided by 556m shares is 50 sen.
Given that the share price is 41 sen and the potential net cash per share of 50 sen is like a fat toad jumping on the street. Beside you also get few hundred million of assets for free.
Considering the above financial facts it is unwittingly wasteful to ignore such a great bargain.
after the 2600 hectares of plantation land at johor sold for 158m,KUB still has 4,600 hectares of plantation land at sarawak and 1,500 hectares of land at sabah, this 2 pieces of land valued more than 150m, not including others asset ,please check the latest annual report
