Check the EPF total number of shares %. They disposed some to pressure retailers to let go. New norm. Holding power is very important. Once Telenor & Axiata resume their merger plan, you will see the price hike. The merger postponed mainly due to the COVID-19 and political matters in Malaysia. Going to stabilise soon. For those still got bullets, can collect more. Look at what Axiata businesses, digitalisation is the current trend and future. I will hold it until the TP back to 3.5 or 4 perhaps rather than keep in FD.

Telecommunication should be least affected by the pandemic as most are going towards digitalization. Telecommunication services are getting more important than ever. Govt should push forward the 5G plan.

DIGI & MAXIS margin is around 15% to 20% range

exclude TM & AXIATA both is low margin & not stable profit

EPF holding doesn't mean much. This is a blue chip company, also component of KLCI, if EPF dump all then will cause KLCI to crash.

The fact is Axiata is managed semi-gov style, any profit already eroded before it reaches shareholders hands, only push up the price by using news / window dressing to polish EPF earnings. Axiata is and always will be having low margin until something drastic happens. I sold my portion long time ago after looking at the management, and I am glad I decided to cut loss. Otherwise, now the loss will be big loss.

Better off investing in TIMECOM/DIGI heck even TM than Axiata given that right now their overall business suck. Boost also lose out to TnG without big offerings. Grab / TnG takes back most of the pie now.
