tonylim, when I did foundation works in Malaysia, we are talking of deep foundation using bored piles, caisson etc up to 40-50 m deep, really deep. Diaphragm wall , contiguous bored piles retaining structure and basement construction up to 5 basement (think Low Yat Building in BB). What do they do in Chch? Testing me? How the hell I know? I have retired from this industry. Damn bloody stressful and problematic. The problem of house foundation in Chch? Pad footing? Strip footing? I don't know. Solving the liquefaction caused by earthquake vibration? Densifying it with sand? I don't know.

ledzepp, you lost money don't blame me. We cabut when we found something was not right when the new owner from Singapore took over. Your loss must be after that. You would have made a lot of money if you invest in it when we were around in the mid 1990s.

although down 5.2%, but it still above my expectation, i estimated it around 23m. so , not really bad news, at least for me..

bonia down 22%, so comparing to bonia, padini 5.2% is not really that bad actually.. i guess hahaha

Fat Cat Tim, not everybody is as optimistic as you. Remember that H&M started operating only in Q2. So Q2 earnings might down more than 5.2% YoY.

As I mentioned early, Padini's bearish trend is just begin.

According to Cold Eye Strategy 冷眼秘籍 , never buy any stock upon is trending into fallen knife , eventhough its is value / capital investment.
He recommendated only to buy upon the share price is flattening ( but dont know how long is considerable ).

So,,,, who buy now , will all the way crying to hell, panic until cant sleep.

Let see when its will stop.

I have a different opinion. The margin of safety of investing in this good growth company has widen. If there is no major change in the fundamentals of the company, which I don't think so from its latest quarterly result as top-line continue to improve though the bottom-line contracts marginally, it is time to accumulate when people are fearful and throw. disclosure, I don't have any more of this but thinking seriously to buy some.

You will never know when the price is hitting the bottom. Buy if you think the stock is traded at or below its FAIR PRICE.

That said, I foresee Padini's Q4 earning to be lower y-o-y. This is because its Q4 2011 results were exceptional. The earliest it will turn around is Q1 2013.
