Dpharma actually is the only company in Malaysia with a vaccine line production. They have a factory in klang for this purpose which was established in 2011 for some other vaccine but was failed in the end. Hence was unutilised until today.

Pharmaniaga & Duopharma perhaps need to queue & beg to sign up for European & American Vaccine loh...!!

Casino only supply for 2 million dose pa to Malaysia this is clearly not sufficient, the Msian govt need to seach for another 20m dose of covid19 vaccine loh....!!

The possiblity of Pharmaniaga & Dpharma getting the future deal are still question mark for all to think loh...!!

Other companies like Kotra, Ahealth, Yspsah, Nova Wellness, Bioalpha and Hovid will still stand an equal chance of securing new covid19 vaccine deal on merits loh....!!

Contract huge but having deal with govt b4, the price is dictated as cuz book value is assured and competition negligible so margin is small.

Collection period is std but assured so banks will lend readily (Affin bank is part of Boustead that owns 50% Ph).

Biz ethics are different means can't go around town bragging else get govt in trouble unlike Dp MD goes onair promo Dp but Ph can't do that.

Both are GLC but Ph board has more ex military cuz medicine is national security matter and that's why LTAT is a key stake holder for CSR reason.

Ph dividend is stable and predictable 2.5sen vs Dh 0.5sen

Because it's govt's mfr it has to ensure infrastructure for distribution so it had to invest more in L

Parliament has brought out Windfall tax. Unlike previous WTax, this one is CSR articulated. No covid gloves won't get windfall and gomen need not spend on MoH and MoD and Home Security. So Wtax won't excape. Quantum? Logical = Govt spending on Moh, MoD etc.

Of those 5 big pharmacy counters only 2 can do pharmacology. Need lots of licenses and established facilities.

If govt gives free vaccine then worthless for any plc to venture into vaccine then Dp might exclude itself cuz v.small margin due to CSR.

So who will risk getting private jabs unless hurry cuz govt gotta queue but genuine.

Moh issue tender but how many PLC can show all required pharmacology license to qualify ? All the while just Pharma and sometimes Dpharma cuz Pharma knows govt margin small but huge contract means Affin bank provide low cost fund source from Savings accounts.
DPharma has no bank, just PNB who needs higher ROI to pay ASN dividend that can be derived from equity trading.

Well said DrLimKH and totally make sense. I guess the distribution will go under the existing contract with Pharma just like some other drugs and vaccines. MOH decide what and where to buy and Pharma wiill keep and distribute to all government hospital and clinics at predetermined small margin. To keep the cost low and provide free for rakyat. FF is another part yet to be finalized but the candidates obviously only few.
