Look at 2014 fire incident, it is able to claim back the insurance within that quarter, the amount to be claimed is not only the damaged assets but also the lost revenue or profit

50% of Liihen production line already been paralyzed. How are they going to speed up produvtion to mertmy demands. Some more it doesn't have back up production lines in other countries ie pohuat & latitude ( Vietnam).

Today's share price rebound is fake and unsustainable due to company buy back the shares after bursa query Liihen at 430pm for its sharp drop inin prices.

Today's news will worsen the situation on Monday panic selling.

Liihen will soon lose its bright. With Christmas and New Year coming soon and 50% of its bed room production lines paralyzed, how can they meet demands fromof overseas? Don't forget bed room design is bread butter for Liihen. Today's incident looks serious. Even this November Q result will be good, the impact of today's fire will be reflected in Feb 2018.

Based on ttm the dividend still high, eg if at closing 4.08.... dy ~6.38%.... better than FD and probably Epf....or some thrust fund.

If there is negligence identified in any fire incident, the Insurance Adjuster will reduce claim accordingly. If doesn't mean a full compensation if a fire destroyed an asset unless a fire is started by someone's else building next door. If a fire started in your building, that means there is negligence or arson because Mgt is supposed to prevent a fire from happening. This is the second fire incident in Liihen.

Haha...people....Liihen is not going to sit still and do nothing just because of the fire...afterall putting things back wont incur additional expenses because it is covered by insurance...and there is backup facility at the main factory to maintain productivity.
So...no worry...people....and this is my 2 sen view.

Don't worry. Favourite design is of of the company under the group. The factory burned down is just one of the few factory under Favourite design. The production of this site will shift to another all new factory within few days and will cause no impact for export order and immaterial impact on the result for next and next next quarter. After checking with insurance, the same factory was burned down 8years ago and fully claimed after the incident. 8 years means already over the unclaimable period and the losses can be fully claimable.

In April 2014, there was also a fire in liihen. Similar, bedroom sets affected.

Below is what happened eight years ago on 28 Oct 2009, 7 out of 8 lines were totally burned down in the same premises --- :

The Board of Directors of Lii Hen Industries Bhd. ("the Company") wishes to announce that a fire occured yesterday night at about 7.15 p.m. at the main premises of Favourite Design Sdn. Bhd. ("FDSB"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company in Kawasan Perindustrian Bukit Pasir, 84300 Bukit Pair, Muar, Johor Darul Takzim. The main premises housed in eights (8) blocks of single-storey furniture factory building together with a double-storey office block situated at Plo 29 & 47, Jalan Rami 3, Kawasan Perindustrian Bukit Pasir, 84300 Bukit Pasir, Muar, Johor Darul Takzim. The fire was under control at about 12.30 midnight.

The incident has caused major portion (i.e.7 out of 8 blocks) of production lines, the conveyor system, spraying and wood making machines and a double-storey office block as well as inventories destroyed by the fire. The property, plant and equipment and inventotries destroyed are adequately insured. The management of the Company and FDSB are in collaboration with insurers and contractors to ascertain the actual extent and quantum of the losses caused by the incident.

From the graf above shows that Liihen share price was on up trend after fire incident. In years 2009, 7 out of 8 production line was down in the same building. Compare to yesterday, only 4 out of 8 production line was down.

Rm1....lol....a lot of penny stocks are more than Rm1 with net losses every year....so long there is operator in a counter, it will fly. I saw the price up very fast after people throw below 3.9, within 10 minutes, it went back to 4.08, do you small investor can did it....the price may drop on Monday due to weak and short term holders but I believe the price will get supported and rebound to its fair value again
