scomies up to 1.07 today.. this brings scomi TP up to 0.635 (after 30% holding discount). scomien went up to 0.41 as well, but at that price, its total contribution to scomi sop valuation is only 0.052 where as scomies contribution is 0.855. Even if scomien goes up to rm1, it will have minimal impact to scomi valuation(0.12). Like investeye said, we just need scomien to breakeven or make a small profit & just bank on scomies to push up scomi price.
football fever is over, the directors are back in office. rocket ...... like you say it should move within the next few days ...... hopefully the Scomi fever will set in just like Hovid for the past 2 weeks.
"If you aren't prepared to see your stocks go down 50%, you shouldn't own them. Be prepared for declines and arrange your financial affairs such that you won't have to sell out". ...Warren Buffett
remember Ijm bought a stake at 0.35 so i agree downside is limited. in share investment you cannot buy at the lowest neither can you sell at the highest!
bktay123, there is always a possibility to buy at lowest or sell at highest or both together...but the chance is so so so small...just for sharing, I had tried this before...
Tan Teng Boo, fund manager of iCap.biz Berhad, had recently purchased a stake in Scomi Group Berhad. In an internally published article to his clients, he rated Scomi as a buy with a price target of RM0.90.
Posted by Ng Kai Yau > Jul 24, 2014 07:52 PM | Report Abuse FredNorton, thks for your sharing but why Abu want to dispose if this is worth 90 sen? Ng, I think when Abu first emerged he probably had insider news that IJM was about to take a stake in Scomi and hoping for either a price surge with the news or takeover. neither happened ( well at least not the surge he is expecting )so he is letting go knowing he cannot do anything much and that Scomi still have many more hurdles to overcome from the years of poor management from Ayatollah Shah. A lot of excitement was built in terms of better things ahead for Scomi by many analysts when Abu bought a substantial stake with his partner in crime Philip but they're probably there just as opportunist hoping for Scomi to fly and indeed it did for a short while but then again came back crashing down so no longer viable to have his money stuck here. Just my 2 cents :)
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
