Ok guys, this counter is under follow. There are actually 2 positive developments.

#1. They have sold a money losing business so it won't drag down the earnings in the future.

#2. They invested in new Vietnam operations. Many furniture stocks such as Latitude makes a lot of money from their Vietnam operation.

Whether this is a buy depends on your own homework.

該公司的2015財政年首季（截至3月31日止）淨利按年暴增7.4倍，至263萬令吉；營業額則增長17.6%，至1596萬令吉，取得一個好的開始。
去年的912萬令吉淨利水平，是UMS集團在2007年開始受到美國次貸危機影響後，經歷了8年的復甦，才再次回到2006年的705萬令吉淨利水平上方。
如今，有美元走強和原油價格大跌2大利好助陣， UMS集團今年接下來的盈利展望，相信可保持強穩。

令UMS集團是一家典型容易受到投資者忽略的股項。該公司的股本只有4000萬令吉，股票數額在扣除庫存股後，只有7860萬股，日均成交量亦相當稀薄。此外， UMS集團每年的營業額只有約6000萬令吉，市值也只有近7000萬令吉。不過，該股股價並沒有與其盈利表現脫鉤。
自上市首天開始，該股股價長期未能回升至每股80仙首次公開售股（ IPO）價格，但過去3年，其股價漲了2倍，從2012年杪的約30仙水平，漲至目前的近90仙水平。

這番好景，對UMS集團的管理層和長線投資者來說，相信都是否極泰來，得來不易。問題是，該公司盈利向好的情況可持續嗎？《資匯》嘗試聯絡管理層，以尋求回應，惟不得要領。從去年下半年開始，UMS集團便有2個利好因素助陣。
第一，油價大跌。該公司的一些主要原料如樹脂（ resin）和聚碳酸酯（ polycarbonate）的製作都需要用到石油，近而可拉低該公司的原料成本。另外，該公司的另一主要原料─ ─銅，也正處于下跌週期。根據國際行情，銅的首季平均價為每磅2.64美元，比去年同期的3.19美元低17.2%； 4月至今的平均價為每磅2.79美元，仍比去年次季的3.08美元低9.4%。
