OnG sector remains challenging for this year. Crane projects might be deferred. To offset this decline, favco plans to : - increase rental fleet (construction sector mostly) - increase operation n maintenance revenue - build smaller cranes - wind turbines
Operations in china remain challenging. Pricing wise, couldn't compete with the Chinese companies. Thus, favco plans to use china plant to build cranes and supply to Europe market. Use China as production instead of selling to china domestic market.
Current order book approx 640mil. Able to last for 9momths. Breakdown - 60/40 OnG/others. (They diversified from relying 80-90% on OnG previously).
why drop so much, I got a feeling that the price is depressing down on purpose. Because of the launching of the ESOS, in which the exercise price will be determined based on the average 5 days of the preceeding market price before the date. Pls correct me if i were wrong. I just glanced through the Bursa announcement.
Net cash per share is at RM1.61/share. Seems rather high. Would appreciate it if someone could point out if I am missing something.
Given the uncertainty of oil and gas sector. It is wise for management to save cash for rainy day. The company still doing well. Look at their cash flow statement and also order book. Everything is fine. It is just bad year for oil and gas. Unless you have the patient to wait for a) OnG recovery or b)discovery of new business. This stock is not really for FIFO.
Fair enough, looking at the long term. The potential future yield does not look attractive just yet. Maybe if it retreats to RM2.25 levels I will consider it more strongly. For now, it goes on my watchlist. I've done my preliminary research. Read the MIDF initiation report to get up to speed on the business's fundamentals. Favco seems to have a very strong moat and track record with offshore/tower cranes.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
