Crazy profit but only declared 3 cents dividend in 2022, maybe it is the real reason of Tomei turned down the long term investors.
No matter the range of the gold price is USD1700-USD2000 per ounce, Tomei performs steadily and highly profitable. Latest yearly profit was 52.31 cents whereas the share price is RM1.10.
WHAT is the problem the Tomei directors?

I think they are not giving out high dividends cos they are still in an expanding mode. It is not cheap to start an outlet and cos of that their inventories go into hundreds of millions. It also means that it is not easy for competitors to come in. Once they have reach their optimum size, I think we can sit back and relax and get good dividends while seeing the share appreciates. Have to take a long term view as gold is a perennial biz.

Tomei is undervalued at Rm1.00-1.10 n its fundamental is getting better n better ; its profit before tax n net profit is getting higher n higher in last 4-5 quarters.

For sure Tomei is undervalued whichever way u look at it. Just keep it as fixed deposit as long as they are paying more than 3% dividends and wait for a bonus issue or payout.

Between Tomei and Poh Kong there are almost 1.3billion worth of gold in stocks. If price of gold goes to above 2000 usd, these two will worth a lot of money and it will be very expensive to compete with them.
