Indeed, it won't bring much material affect for 2014 because the case just brought up in the court. Usually the legal proceeding took quite a long time so the result maybe will come out around mid 2015 - 2016. Most of the time the outcome for cases like this would be like shtan88 said: out of court settlement.

Banks are buying because they have to support their biggest debtor. If Dialog cannot pay back its 400 million loan, the banks will also be hit. Pengerang is already stale news for the past 2 years. Everybody knows about it, so it is not going to excite anybody.

All the good news is already in the price. Then came the bad news, the court case. The only way to go is down. I just check the technicals. The price already cut through SMA20 and about cut SMA50 soon. MACD, RSI, Stochastics and OBV are all negative. It doesn't look pretty at the moment.

Strong support seen at this price which is near SMA50. The price may rebound from here. If the price falls below SMA50, there will be more selling.

kewyy, The SMA50 refers to the 50-days Simple Moving Average. This is determined by simply taking the sum of all of the past closing prices over the time period(in this case 50 days) and divides the result by the number of prices used in the calculation(which is 50 in this case).

In Technical Analysis, the SMA is also used to indicate the support and resistance line for the stock. A stock will normally bounce off the simple moving average price as they are considered as the support or resistance line.

By the way, i am also looking at the progress of the Dialog shares very closely as there are 3 news about the company recently, i.e. One is bad(arbitration or potential lawsuit by TLP and another two which are good(1. Announcement of RAPID FID and 2. Announcement of the commencement of Phase 1A of Pengerang Terminal.

These 3 news have caused the share price to be very volatile in the past few days. Will see how it will work out in the next few days.

Today, Dialog is listed as the Stock to Watch on TheEdgeMalaysia. So, should expect another day of high volume and volatility. Immediate Support is RM3.46. If broken, will test the yesterday's low at RM3.37 again. Immediate Resistance is RM3.60. If this is broken today, will be good for the stock.

Dialog Bhd’s Pengerang Independent Terminals Sdn Bhd (PITSB) welcomed the first vessel carrying fuel for its petroleum and crude storage facility in Pengerang on Saturday, marking the start of its oil storage operations there.

MT Vinalise Glory, which arrived from the Middle East, became the first ship to dock at the terminal which offers crude oil storage facilities for trading purposes.

“This is a historic moment as we work towards the transformation of Pengerang into a regional oil and gas hub like what’s Rotterdam to Europe,’’ said Dialog Group Bhd executive chairman Dr Ngau Boon Keat at a briefing.

Dialog’s facility will raise competition in the crude oil storage business that is generally dominated by operators in Singapore currently.

Ngau, who is also PITSB chairman, said the company was confident that Phase One of Pengerang Terminal operated by PITSB would serve its purpose to meet the growing need for storage capacity of crude oil and petroleum products in the Asian region.

He said PITSB was currently in talks with two potential investors to develop additional terminals under Phase Two and Three of the independent terminal project.

“We have allocated about 80.93ha for Phase Two and Three of the development and the investment is likely to be more than what have been invested in Phase One,’’ he said.

Phase One covers 60.70ha of reclaimed seabed land, with initial storage capacity of about 1.3 million cu m, cost RM2bil. This is small compared to Singapore, which boast a capacity of 20 million cu m. However, a scarcity of land in Singapore has been a stumbling block for its expansion.

Dialog’s independent trading terminal and dedicated liquefied natural gas terminal has a total four storage tanks with a capacity of 160,000 cu m each and involved a total investment of RM4bil.

Upon completion, the deepwater petroleum terminal would be able to handle the storage, blending and distribution of crude oil and petroleum products. It is owned by PITSB, a joint venture between Dialog Group, Royal Vopak and State Secretary Johor Inc.

Phase 1A was completed last month and consists of 25 tanks with a total storage capacity of 432,000 cu m for clean petroleum products.

Vopak Asia division president Patrick van der Voort said the Pengerang independent oil terminal (Phase One) was one of Vopak’s most important projects in Asia, catering to the growing energy demand in the region.

“We have added Pengerang Terminal into our global network of 80 terminals across 29 countries and are looking forward to serving our customers at the new terminal,’’ he said.

The court case with TLP should not be a big concern in my opinion.

First, the fire did not happen during the construction period and it only happened after the handover of the project to TLP. If you have taken ownership of the project during handover, and the fire happened thereafter, it could be due to many possible causes which may not be Dialog's. Anything could happen after the handover and TLP should not just point its fingers and put the blame on Dialog.

Second, the claim amount is also ridiculous. TLP is claiming a few hundred percent more than the total cost of the project itself.

Third, the fire happened way back in the year 2008.

Anyway, this is just my personal opinion.

The next resistance point is 3.90 and support level is 3.51. Dialog has a good track record of growth in the past years since listing. Average CAGR is > 20% per year which is very consistent. So, it may still have some legs to move up.

Another possible way of riding the wave is by its warrant. Will do some analysis tomorrow if got time.

Do not worry too much about Dialog. Pengerang/Rapid terminal will be a 10 years project. it will be like a fixed deposit for dialog or us.
Be Patient, There will be some good news going to announce for upstream and other EPCC project. TP 4.0-4.5 in year 2014 is reasonable.
