SINGAPORE, Sept 3 (Reuters) - Malaysia's Tanjung Langsat Port plans to sell its storage tank terminal in the southern state of Johor and has short-listed at least five companies for a second round of negotiations, sources close to the matter told Reuters.

The terminal may come with an adjacent piece of land, allowing the potential buyer to expand and tap on rising quantities of crude oil and oil products passing through the Malacca Straits to meet growing demand in Asia.

Singapore, Asia's largest oil trading hub, faces land shortages that have driven billions of dollars of spending on the construction of storage facilities in neighbouring Malaysia and Indonesia.

With oil pricing agency Platts - whose oil benchmarks are used by majority of contracts in Asia - proposing to include ports in Malaysia and possibly Indonesia as cargo loading points, more investments are expected to take place in these countries, traders said.

Tanjung Langsat Port (TLP) is negotiating with at least five companies to sell its wholly owned 100,000 cubic metres storage tank terminal, the sources close to the matter said.

At least two Singapore companies, including a small trading firm and a small oil tanking facility, are involved in the talks, one of the sources said, declining to reveal more details citing non-disclosure agreements.

TLP is also considering selling an adjacent piece of land of about 15 hectares next to the terminal as the firms involved in the talks have requested for it, a second source said.

"It's at the second stage of discussions now and (TLP) still has to do a due diligence survey of the companies involved which could take about three weeks," the source added.

TLP could not immediately be reached for comment.

TANJUNG LANGSAT PORT

Tanjung Langsat Port, a wholly owned subsidiary of state-owned Johor Corporation, started operations at the storage tank terminal in June 2008 but stopped later that year due to a fire at one of its tanks, according to the company website.

While the tanks have been fully restored, they have been left empty since then, the sources said. They are able to store mainly clean oil products like gasoline, naphtha and diesel, one of the sources said.

It was not immediately clear on why the storage terminal was put up for sale. Tanjung Langsat Port was set up as one of the areas to be further developed in line with the government's aim of transforming southern Johor as a hub for oil and gas, according to the company website.

There is also another 670,000 cubic metres of oil storage in Tanjung Langsat, which is mainly invested by Malaysia's Dialog Group, MISC and Puma Energy, partly owned by Trafigura.

What happen to the Dialog today, from 1.75 to 1.93 and drop back to close at 1.85? Any good news or just speculative selling? I am ready to sell my stocks come Monday.

Completion of the 20% farm-out agreement for D35, D21 AND J4 participating interest in the
Production Sharing Contract for the three fields D35, D21 and J4, located offshore Sarawak, Malaysia from ROC to Dialog.

Following the farm-out, the participating interests of the PSC Contractors will be:
PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd 40%
E&P Malaysia Venture Sdn Bhd 10%
Roc Oil (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd 30%
Dialog Resources Sdn Bhd 20%

PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (“PCSB”) is the Operator of the PSC and retains responsibility for operations and maintenance of the facilities. PCSB has, in addition to ROC’s participation in the PSC, appointed ROC as the PSC Development Manager.

The field re-development and enhancement of oil recovery consist of:

1. Phase 1 – commenced in early 2014 is designed to increase oil production rate and enhance the Fields production potential through a series of intervention activities and facility debottlenecking projects. Phase 1 has a minimum work commitment of US$70 million.
2. Phase 2 - is expected to significantly expand the production and overall recovery potential from the Fields. Phase 2 is subject to a Field Development Plan (“FDP”) sanction, following completion of a series of studies designed to prove the reservoirs’ responses to re-pressurisation and tertiary recovery. Completion of the study work and the subsequent FDP approval process are planned during 2015. Phase 2 has a minimum work commitment of US$50 million and full Phase 2 cost estimates will be refined during the study period.

The PSC terms are designed for field re-development and enhancement of oil recovery to commercially encourage progressive incremental oil development over the full life of the PSC, which expires on 31 December 2034.

ramsyll

PE 42 is NOT reflective of Dialog's potential. This PE is derived based on enlarged capital using FYE30.06.2014 results.
There a couple of rerating catalyst identified that have yet to be unlocked in terms of it's value, hence upside potential is still great... if you were to take in potential profits to be derived from EPCC, upstream activities & tanking biz, my guesstimate forecast profit of RM350mil for FYEJune2015, enlarged capital of 5bil shares, taking it's historical 3 years PE of 30X, projected MV of Dialog is RM2.10.
You will see Dialog's potential when they announce their Q1 profit for FYEJune2015 in Nov this year.

pisangkuat

What i can say...the recent drop in oil price & rising USD didnt look good for the time being... not only for dialog...but other oil & gas counter as well...now crude trade under usd 100...which make exploration and operation cost becoming expensive and eat up the profits.
