there is no relationship between a US tech stock and a Msia property stock. But our EPF yes, they are big shareholder in SP Setia.

Very bad decision by present BOD/management, sue previous management but lost RM1 Billion in market cap. Lessons learnt painfully not to wash dirty linen in public, penny wise but pound foolish !!!

Operators don't like Black Swan event, when this sudden litigation occurred, fears gripped due to the uncertainty of the case (whether any impact on the company).

Management must give assurance to investors about the possible impact, otherwise we can expect the prices to be subdued.

Yes, weird to me this stock lol, qood qtr but drop...........

Posted by GlobalEquity > 4 days ago | Report Abuse

It's merely "storm in a teacup".
Sell down to RM1.0 is risky for big boys as the resistance is too great.

Other big boys will buy the cheap tickets.

aiya if until need to sue former management means more losses coming from unlawful transactions previously done

Posted by GlobalEquity > 4 days ago | Report Abuse

Expect news coverage by The Edge soon.

If the report is positive, then expect renewed buying interest.

How to buy low sell high?
When people panic sell, you panic buy.
When people panic buy, you sell to them.

Most important thing is the share you buy has good value for your money.

Buy low sell high is always easy said than done.
Wish you good luck.

Posted by GlobalEquity > 3 days ago | Report Abuse

At about RM1.0, you could buy much cheaper than those who bought a much higher prices over the last six months, including EPF.
HOLD a few weeks or months, handsome profits can be made when rebound.

Hartalega won legal suit against its former director

Posted by GlobalEquity > 3 days ago | Report Abuse

Legal action is actually a good thing for the company because:
* It shows the biggest shareholder PNB is serious about INTEGRITY and ACCOUNTABILITY of SPSetia's senior management
* It's a serious reminder to the future team to be truly professional
It's only a knee jerk reaction (as the market acknowledged today in renewed buying at low prices)
It's not "Steve Job" that you can't find replacement for, or sinister like CEB (huge sell down but no large shareholders emerged), so let's hope the chapter IS over and prices back on track with Bursa.

May break RM1.2 this afternoon ?

as those people been sue already left the company awhile back, yes, it is a scandal but those so called losses already awhile ago which does not impact the current finance, so the throwing will not last long i think.....

my 2 cents on SP Setia. With the continued negative share price pressure, no hurry to buy in yet. No one knows how low it can get, so safer to buy in when there is clear reversal in fortune. I am personally looking into Malakoff instead. A short video comparing the 2 stocks. Do watch if interested. TQ

SPSETIA will take 5 trading day back 1.25 again ,by next Friday ,
Take note

Forget about the fake scare of the legal case in August!

Expect the "frenzy" of FED's interest rate cut in September.

I don't think the current low price of RM1.10 can withstand the rush in by foreign funds!

All eyes on Fed !

If SOMEHOW Fed changed decision to delay the rate cut or cut just by a little, then better run for cover!

Once rate cut, can see SPSetia climbing to RM1.80

Posted by GlobalEquity > 52 minutes ago | Report Abuse

Foreign funds are two edged swords!

You love them and you hate them!

We Malaysians are always vulnerable, when suddenly they pull out (they are always short-term players), YOU suffer and be stuck.

Predicting the directions of foreign funds is a great challenge (need to read and know a lot of happenings eg company wise, national and world's economy and geo politics, etc).

We are now running on bull sentiments in Bursa but also with a very real timebomb in the NASDAQ US, nuclear bomb by Tsar Putin in Ukraine or even Sino-US conflicts in the South China Sea...

Always be prepared for any Black Swan event and gain from it...
