KUALA LUMPUR (March 15): RHB Retail Research said Press Metal Aluminium Holdings Bhd may rise higher after it formed a fourth consecutive white candle.

In a trading stocks note today, the research house said the 21-day SMA line is now likely to turn upwards, suggesting additional strength may be present in the coming sessions.

“A bullish bias may emerge above the RM4.46 level, with an exit set below the RM4.20 threshold.

“Towards the upside, the immediate resistance is at RM4.67. This is followed by the RM4.85 level,” it said.

Below is the notes from AMINVEST 2019 04 25...

We raise our FY19–21F net profit forecast by 2–9% and maintain a HOLD recommendation on Press Metal with a higher FV of RM3.95 (from 3.80 previously). The RM3.95 FV is based on 18.5x FD FY19F EPS which is: (1) in line with our forward target P/E for the FBM KLCI; and (2) at a premium to the 10x average forward P/E of key global aluminum smelters to reflect Press Metal’s favourable cost structure with the bulk of its energy cost (from hydro power) locked in at very competitive rates over the long term.

My Question:
Current Price = RM4.70
Why AMINVEST recommend HOLD for FV ofRM3.95???
Shouldn't they ask people to SELL when current price is already so much higher than the FV of RM3.95???

Anyone can enlighten me please...

Re enter or hold on to press metal. The chart is currently on bullish flag breakout. Both macro and micro factors are favourable. Check out commodity aluminum chart as well.

The hike in Pmetal price today does not justified as the price of aluminum is till coming down to below 1800

Pmetal have already said that the lower profits were due to the lower sales margin. Now will lower aluminum price the increase in capacity does not justified that the company can make better profits. There is a point that the law of diminishing return will start to activate even if you increase production.

so you want to wait for lme to be above 2000 only start buying? stupid move. by that time the shares will prob be at rm6.00. you are buying on the company's potential, imagine the potential margin when lme turns back to above 2000

The alumina prices now is at their lowest levels in two years . The lowest of alumina prices the better for Pmetal company as already mentioned by Tan Sri Dato' Paul Koon . The returned of ALUNORTE plant in Brazil already running at 80 - 85% capacity in June , and its will rise to 85 - 95% in the fourth quarter . Anyway i hope my target price Rm 6.00 can be achieve in the near term. And don't forget another counter PMB TECH ( 7172 ) also belong to Tan Sri Dato' Paul Koon ( PMETAL ) . Kaunter yang boleh tetap boleh .
