After scanning thru receivables from previous years, noted FPI usually receive cash from supplier on the final quarter of the year and hence reduction in receivables by the same amount
FY11 Receivables 3Q11 RM152.338m 4Q11 RM107.286m, Received CASH of RM45.052m
FY12 Receivables 3Q12 RM159.36m 4Q12 RM102.473M, Received CASH of RM56.887m
FY13 Receivables 3Q13 RM147.198m 4Q13 ??? , Received CASH of ???
If history repeat itself FPI should be receiving cash RM45 to 50m on top of the latest cash and cash equivalents of RM110.465m
Assuming FPI receive RM45m cash + current cash holdings RM110.465 Cash will balloon to a WHOPPING RM155m or 62.66 sen per share
Net profit have been improving substantially in the latest 2 quarters
Net profit Q412 RM2.511m or 1 sen per share Q113 RM1.751m or 0.7 sen per share Q213 RM7.46m or 3 sen per share Q313 RM8.642m or 3.5 sen per share
Borrowings RM55,000 only
GOOD LUCK TO ALL FPI SHAREHOLDERS CHEERS, HUAT AARRRR
Wistron Corp to invest in Formosa Prosonic Industries Bhd
Thursday, 20 Feb 2014 04:47am EST Wistron Corp and Formosa Prosonic Industries Bhd:Wistron Corp intends to invest in Formosa Prosonic Industries Bhd for up to T$560 mln, and increase stake to about 28 pct (69,260,000 shares).
Sephiroth is saying that by paying 91 cents now, you are getting 62.66 cents in cash and all the other assets of FPI (presumed value at less than 30 cents??). Good or bad, you think?
avocado, of coz very good, previously flbhd was trading at 80 sen but cash 57 sen, grab 80 sold 112, eventually the market will recognise this way undervalue conter.
PNB holds above 80% of FPI, there's rumour that acer and apple is buying 24-25% stake according to ealier post in chinese
but when I compare the financial result of year 2013 VS 2012, seem like FPI is not perform so well as what they did in 2012??? Even the Q4 result announcement is just around the corner, do you guys think will the announcement push the price go higher ... really difficult to say ???
FPI's financials are not spectacular, very thin margin. However, they never make losses and managed to accumulate a lot of cash over the years. With this new Taiwanese partner, perhaps they can get better business prospects and improve their margin. The future is hard to tell, I was looking at this counter few days back but I didn't take action, perhaps I am too late now.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
