Big downtrend? It's just short-term fluctation without any updated financial results. You should see a big picture. Automobile semiconductor has a very bright prospect. A demand for vehicle electrification has been surging.

Why are you saying it is possible to move back to 5.00 considering growth of a demand for vehicle electrification?

Kesm will rebound quickly as long as a demand for vehicle electrification does not plunge.

I just monitor a wafer utilization rate and a demand for vehicle electrification. I don't mind short term fluctation as long as i'm optimistic about the two things above.

Even if car sales drop, a demand for vehicle electrificstion will continue surging, so Kesm's profit will surly surge at some point with recovering car sales. That's the most importsnt thing for Kesm.

Many so called act smart retailer caught falling knife and now stuck $12 recently. Sincere already warn you since $17 not to touch but sincere advice not taken. Definitely $5 is coming.

Those that act very smart when it bounces from 9.8 to 12, say what uptrend la, buy opportunity la, all is low class. Now they disappear after the tide, swim in naked doesn’t feel good !

Just compare a demand for vehicle electrification now and two years ago. You will not reach such a conclusion.

From next Monday automotive semiconductor stocks are likely to perform better than stocks of semiconductor for smart phones due to a decreasing demand for smart phones.

Analysts are now very bullish about automotive semiconductor stocks. Read the below.

The company will continue to benefit from its exposure in the automotive segment which offers bright prospects, backed by rising global light vehicle sales and growth in semiconductor content in automobiles. Furthermore, MPI’s strong net cash position opens up opportunities for the group to acquire new technologies, particularly in the automotive space.
https://klse.i3investor.com/servlets/ptres/47789.jsp

1Q19 CNP is within our expectation but beat consensus’. No changes made to our earnings estimates. A better prospect is imminent backed by cleaner portfolio alongside better earnings quality from Automotive-centric business. MPI offers the best value proposition amongst all, in our view, following its unjustifiably cheap valuation, all against its improving earnings profile which warrants a 2-year CNP of 8%. Upgrade to OP with an unchanged TP of RM12.20.
https://klse.i3investor.com/servlets/ptres/47780.jsp

Meanwhile, higher contribution of sensors-related packaging business from the Automotive side will lend strength to prospects. All in, this should help the group to weather through the industry slowdown. Meanwhile, 2H19 should see meaningful contribution from its new high-margins products, i.e. MEMS, Copper clips and Flipchips (for application in Automotive sensors and Industrial segments), which should drive management’s previous assumption of 5% growth in USD terms. We made no changes to our 6% USD sales growth in FY19 for now.

<Very important message> Attention please!

I'm interested in a long-term trend of Kesm. Kesm's financial results have been more stable than you may think.

In FY208Q3 Kesm's revenue dropped compared to the previous quarter, but before that, Kesm's revenue had increased in 13 consecutive quarters!!

That's because a demand for vehicle electrification has been surging, so you can still expect Kesm's revenue will increase consecutively for a long time.

This is why I'm not worried about Kesm at all.

I always check a long-term trend of a company's financial results.A short-term trend is something like the trees. A long-term trend is something like the forest.

Many people cannot see the forest for the trees.

Hengyuan QR also not bad. Both HRC and KESM pay poor dividend so dividend investors avoid buying.

What dompeilee says does not make sense at all. He compares valuations of semiconductor stocks in different countries. What a joke!

He is a swing trader. What I can see is that he wants you to buy the stocks he bought and he wants you to sell the stocks he sold. That's all.His writing style is similar to Mosiong Wong's.

He wants to impress you saying that he bought a stock at a very low price...
But what he says is not necessary correct. You can give investors wrong information. Nobody will know it. He is jobless, so you should be aware of his motivation.

I'm 'jobless' because I dedicate all my time to studying the market & profiting from it....but unlike most of you who are employed(& hate your job I might add!) I LOVE studying business cycles, supply & demand & how greed & fear helps me make money from those who are slaves to their emotions.

The payoff? 449 trading sessions without a single loss since Jan 10th 2017! =)

Genting Bhd, which I contra-ed off on Fri & Thu, was my 125th stock win of the year,( KESM was #124), including several stocks listed in S'pore, HK & Japan. Not bad for a bear market 2018, but less than 2017's 182 stock wins for sure =)

That's a red flag. Even the best traders in the world incurred some losses for some tradings.
Trading is not science. It is a game to raise your winning percentage with your educated guess.
You cannot predict 100% correct. A winning percentage of 90% is extremely good.

dompeilee ---

What's his motivation to put his bought and sold prices in this forum every time? He wants you to help him! He sounds like a homeless person who always begs rather than a top trader.

hstha

Some people in this forum have the same strategy with some criminals in news. Be aware!

----

First they will try to impress you with a story like I bought this stock at a very low price two years ago.... Then, they will try to make you believe they are top traders with a lot of good stories, which are not real.

Their intention is simple. They want you to buy the stocks they bought and sell the stocks they sold.

I'm just stating a fact...you can't stand me just because I made money from KESM lately & you're stuck loads of $ at above $15 while cajoling everyone to buy for a target of $22? HAH!

(I can provide proof of every one of my 449 profitable sessions to anyone interested except that it's very cumbersome to copy my records, paste, repeat etc so I'll probably write my FIRST article showing the proof session by session as well as my thoughts & considerations before making the purchase & sales - there'll be many many many parts though, since there were so many trades!)

In fact, I'm one of the first to agree with chong that LUCK is a big factor in investing success...I managed to sell KESM near the recent rebound peak only because I was too busy to watch the stock market as I was booked(free room) in Genting & managed to win $668 of their money in two days & happily leaving a winner!

And I'm pretty sure that those who get angry about others making a living sharing their experiences & methods of trading with other are the WORST traders of all eg hstha...Wahahaha!

In fact, I now recall that it was hstha who ridiculed my (free) advice to forumers to buy KESM's mother Sunright on the Singapore Exchange when it was less than 25 cents, based on Ben Graham principles...Poetic justice on hstha lol

A certain famous old con man & hstha side by side in the same mental ward in Tanjung Rambutan hospital...both tried to play dirty by buying different shares & then recommending to innocent victims before unloading onto them...now backfired & gone cuckoo...LOL!!!
