High Revenue with Poor GP margin, is like the company doing a lot of promotion and gain on volume. But this is the construction industry, how come the GP margin so low ?
Congrats everyone! Mitra is on the new record high revenue and earning... the price has been very stable compare to 800++ stocks red on yesterday.. with the current unfavourable environment.. the price is undervalued for quite some times.. EPS 4.29 with PE 7.37.. if the PE Is the market average of 8-9.. what the price it would be? thanks to the good management for all the hard works !
I think focusing on the company's ROE rather than profit margin, u can find tat the number of construction stock which can make a 19% roe is very rare. Somemore this co. still has 204 million unbilled sales.
@blowwater can somewhat agreed with you.The higher profit reported was helped by the one-off item(second monetary compensation) received from the compulsory acquisition of the company land in Johore.Amount= RM 10.90million. to know further read- http://www.malaysiastock.biz/Blog/BlogArticle.aspx?tid=8066
Based on corporate announcements and news flow today, stocks in focus on Monday (May 29) may include: CAP, Hibiscus, Mah Sing, Icon, Serba Dinamik, KPJ, RCE Capital, Econpile, BHIC, Titijaya, Tropicana, Pestech, Mitrajaya, MCT, Kenanga and PIE Industrial.
China Automobile Parts Holdings Ltd (CAP) will miss the deadline to submit the financial results for its first quarter ended March 31, 2017, adding that it is unsure on when it can submit the report. Its counter risks suspension of trading should it fail to submit the report by June 8.
Earlier, its auditor PKF has retracted its audit report for the year ended Dec 31, 2015, the first time in Malaysia an auditor has renounced reliability of a given prior audit opinion involving a public-listed firm.
Shares of Hibiscus Petroleum Bhd were suspended upon its request this afternoon, pending an announcement. The shares last traded 1.5 sen lower at 41 sen.
Wa... mean that the GP margin will extremely low if exclude the compensation. Damn... Even ROE is high, but GP margin will also have to concern. Maybe they overvalue the cost of goods or sales.

If I not mistaken, a lot of Unit Fund or big body are holding the share, retail share not much and that's why not volatile. Mitra really need time to growth up. As for long term investment, Mitra is a one of potential counter. Maybe need 1-2 year to climb up to 2.00 or it can suddenly shoot up if get some large infrastructure project from government e.g. MRT3 etc. For short term or contra, not advisable to invest in Mitra. Long term is valuable. This is not a buy or sell call. Buy at your own risk.
We cut FY17-18 earnings by 7% and 1% respectively after imputing lower construction margins. Given the high base and timing gap on newly secured jobs, we expect earnings to remain flat in FY17 before picking up again in FY18. Rating Maintain BUY, TP: RM1.89 Whilst earnings may have hit a temporary plateau, we expect growth to resume in FY18. Valuations are undemanding at FY17-18 P/E of 9.3x and 8x respectively. Mitrajaya?s net land value of RM638m backs up 68% of its market capitalisation.
Since they already decided to become substantial shareholder, dont think they will anyhow dispose the shares cause if <5% they would need to ceased as substantial shareholder
General meeting is coming, share buy back 10% come after meeting, dividend also come after share buy back 10%!! Hold tight everyone, mitra is ready to fly high to the sky short term tp1.5!!!
