ChooBee post a good quarterly result with EPS 6.87 cents. It is a downstream player who use HRC as raw material but it still manage to get a good profit. I believe Prestar will be the same too.
makes sense to me..as they were able to raise the selling price & had better throughput = tonnage.

The Group’s revenue for 4Q 2016 improved by 21% to RM94.1 million as compared to RM78.0 million achieved in 3Q 2016. The pickup in performance was mainly due to the stronger metric tonne sales, coupled with better average selling prices.
Following the higher revenue trend, the Group’s profit before taxation for 4Q 2016 increased by RM4.8 million to RM10.4 million as compared to RM5.6 million for 3Q 2016.
Ann Joo performed well.. same goes to choo bee, southern steel.. but emetall masteel achievement not as favourable... all are in the same industry but different segments so in my opinion the importance of management will come into play to reflect on their overall profitability as well
i see that the market pricing mechanism had barely changed from previous qtr..as such i am inclined to expect the same or better results (EPS) from previous qtr for Prestar.
