PRESTAR earning is better than ASTINO

EPS:
PRESTAR latest quarterly EPS is 8.12cent
ASTINO latest quarterly EPS is 6.34cent

Share price:
PRESTAR share price is RM1.35
ASTINO share price is RM1.65

Once upcoming quarterly financial result out, PRESTAR share price will up significantly since much better EPS is expected due to higher revenue & profit margin.

if loan from bank, you need to pay interest.
if pp, undisclosed buyer give you the money, and u use their money to pay the loan and less interest will be paid to bank.

if u r biz owner, what will u do?

Directors normally can get 10% discount from private placement. The proposed PP of up to 10% of the total number of issued shares. Directors want to share more profits which is allowed by the SC.

PP price will be determined by PVWAP.

PVWAP = Previous Volume Weighted Average Price or Last 5 days Volume Multiply with Average Price

Since the price will be calculated based on last 5 days, the price is definitely pressed down to "ensure" undisclosed buyer buy at LOWER price.

This is the reason Prestar is RED amongst other steel counters.

Just checked the total no of issued shares= 204,920,030, in which 10,887,300 shares are treasury shares. The remaining are 194,032,730 shares. Due to treasury shares are excluded, the total proposed PP will be maximized at 19,403,200.

Let see the effect of PP that dilute the EPS. Let use the latest EPS to calculte, EPS = 8.12 cent.

Maximum no of share after PP =204920030+19403200=224,323,230
Lets assume the same profit as previous one:

The EPS after PP = (204920030/224323230) x 8.12= 7.417cent

Let assume the average public share price is RM1.32, the PP share price is normally got 10% rebate,1.32x 0.9=RM1.19

The directors/associate need to pay RM1.19 for the new PP(maximized at 19,403,200 shares)

Still, the profit, EPS is still higher than Astino one.

The falls of the PRESTAR for its PP was overreacted today. The PP WAS approved @ 35th annual AGM, on 27July2020. The effect of this PP on earning, EPS is less than 10% i.e. THE EPS is around 7.4cents that it is still higher than the Astino EPS.
The directors/associate just want to share the profit.

The upcoming quarterly financial result is promising very good. This result should be out in less than 1 month time.

Fantastic latest financial quarterly(31Mar2021) result, EPS=9.45cent. Both revenue and profit margin are also improved. Last quarterly(31Dec2020) result, EPS=8.12cent.

Even with MCO & CMCO, the profit margin & revenue of PRESTAR were still performing better at latest quarterly(31Mar2021) financial result. According to the financial report, Prestar is enjoying the continuous hike in steel prices esp its associate companies, Tashin & Posco-MKPC. Therefore, better margin to be confirmed for the the remaining financial year.

The PP fund will be used to future projects & expansion like upgrading the automation production facilities. Lastly, the Prestar prospect to remain positive & satisfactory.
